You couldspend your summer doing any number of things, but you’ve chosen topursue your educational goals. We are excited to help you succeed inreaching them.Whether you’re a continuing Grossmont College student, universitystudent joining us for a class this summer, a high school student gettinga jumpstart on your college experience, or an adult learner taking advantage of our shortterm classes, I hope you take advantage of our many opportunities to engage with ourexcellent faculty. During the summer, Grossmont College will continue to virtually providelibrary materials access, tutoring services that work for your schedule, private mental healthcounseling, and much more.While many of our classes are online, we do have some classes that must remain inperson such as lab and career education courses. For our in-person classes, we are limitingenrollment to ensure safe physical distancing, requiring students and employees to properlywear masks, and regular cleaning and sanitizing within those spaces. Our number onepriority will always be to ensure the health and safety of our students and employees.While we are not yet fully in person this summer, please know that we are always here foryou, whether it’s in a virtual appointment or workshop, email, or by phone. CollegeProceduresCOLLEGE PROCEDURESWHO MAY ATTEND?LEGAL RESIDENTS of the State of California who possess ahigh school diploma or equivalent or are over 18 years ofage may attend Grossmont College.H IGH SCHOOL STUDENTS may attend with the approvalof the appropriate high school official, the approval ofparent(s)/guardian(s), and the approval of the college official.N ON-RESIDENTS who possess a high school diplomaor equivalent or are over 18 years of age may attendGrossmont College by paying the established tuition fee.A “non-resident” for tuition purposes is a student whohas not established both physical presence and intent inCalifornia for more than one year immediately precedingthe residence determination date for a term.NON-PERMANENT RESIDENT OF U.S. who possess a highschool diploma or equivalent or are over 18 years of agemay attend Grossmont College by paying the establishedtuition fees. A “non-permanent” resident of the U.S. isa student who is in an immigration status and who isprecluded from establishing California residency.HOW DO I ENROLL?CONTINUING STUDENTSRegistration information will be e-mailed on April 8, 2021.For registration information see page 5. For students that apply by April 2, 2021, registrationinformation will be emailed on April 8, 2021. Studentsthat apply starting April 5, 2021, will be eligible foropen registration.WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College Districtis part of the California public school system and requiresenrollment and health services fees of all students. Nonresidents and international students must additionallypay tuition. Students whom depend exclusively upon prayer forhealing according to the teaching of a bona fide religioussect, denomination or organization may petition for anexemption from the payment of the Health Fee.The mandatory health fee provides accident insurancefor the protection of any student who may experience aninjury while participating in a college sponsored credit ornon-credit class, or other activity. The sponsored class oractivity must be during a directly supervised, on-campusor school-related activity. The supervision of the sponsoredclass or activity must be by a member of the college staffat a college approved co-curricular activity or event.Insuranc
