Due to post-transaction validation by Microsoft,partners will be issued Cloud Marketplace credits in arrears for eligible ‘net new’ customers for the first 6months. After the initial 6-month free period, Ingram Micro will begin billing at normal rates for monthly billsin months 7 through 12 of the annual commitment.4

Throughout the promo, partners haveopportunity to showcase the value of Teams and Microsoft 365 to new customers to drive to a renewaldecision.How is this approach different from the Office 365 E1 Trial launched on April 1st, 2020?The updated Office 365 E1 and Microsoft 365 Business Basic promos differ from the legacy Office 365 E1Trial in two ways:1.Technical Enforcement of “New Customer Only” qualification for Office 365 E1 and Microsoft 365Business Basic promos. These promos will only be able to be added to new customer tenants.2.Monthly billing beginning in Month 7. Customers will make an annual commitment to a monthly billedsubscription when leveraging the Office 365 E1 or Microsoft 365 Business Basic promos. Partners willreceive bills from Ingram Micro for licenses beginning in Month 7 through Month 12.When will this change take place?The updated Office 365 E1 promo and new Microsoft 365 Business Basic promo will be made available inCSP starting Monday, May 4th, 2020. Partners purchase monthly Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Office 365 E1licenses just as they normally would through the marketplace. For more information, please review thestep-by-step guide through our Remote Work Partner Enablement guide.Opportunities eligible for Microsoft’s 6-month free promotion will automatically be tracked by IngramMicro. Partners will be issued credits in arrears. This means that the partner will receive an upfrontcharge for the licenses but will be credited each subsequent month for the first 6 months.When will partners receive their credit?Credit dates will vary by marketplace based on when Ingram Micro receives the Microsoft file data, but willbe issued within 45 days of the purchase date.Can I charge customers for their Office 365 E1 or Microsoft 365 Business Basic service duringthe promo period?Microsoft expects partners to pass along the full promo value to customers during the promo period.Microsoft may audit partners to ensure compliance.Why create a new Microsoft 365 Business Basic promo?Microsoft wants to ensure that customers are started in the right product family to simplify paidconversion and upsell conversations at the end of the promo. This means starting 300 seat customersin the Microsoft 365 for business family, making upsell to Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft365 Business Premium logical. While we will not technically enforce 300 seats as a minimum for the Office365 E1 promo, we recommend only using the Office 365 E1 promo with customers with more than 300seats.Do partners need to wait 6 months to convert customers to higher paid SKU?No, partners can convert or upsell customers to Paid SKU’s via Cloud Marketplace CSP at any time.Will the partners need to take action to begin billing customers?No, customers commit to an annual subscription, with billing resuming automatically in Month 7, andcontinuing through Month 12.6

No additional customers will be able to create 6-month CSP Office 365 E1 Trialsbeginning May 4th, 2020. At that time, new customers instead should leverage the CSP Office 365 E1Promo as described in this document.What if a customer does not wish to license Office 365 E1 or Microsoft 365 Business Basic?For customers who do not wish to license Office 365 E1 or Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft willmake available similar promotions on certain standalone components of Office 365 E1 and Microsoft 365Business Basic reactively.Details of the CSP Office 365 E1 and Microsoft 365Business Basic PromosWhich customers are not eligible for the promos?Organizations are not eligible for the trial if: They do not meet the “New Customer” definition as described above They are a Syndication Partner customer They are a GCC, GCC High, DoD or EDU customerHow many licenses can be acquired through the Promo?There is a 3000-license limit for the Office 365 E1 Promo. Please find full walkthrough here on Page 11 and 12.What price will Ingram Micro bill at Month 7?Ingram Micro will honor the catalog price as set at the time of promo start for the duration of the annualcommitment. This means if a customer starts the promo on June 1st, 2020, their price in Month 7 would bethe monthly price on June 1st, and not the price on January 1st, 2021.Can add-on SKUs be sold alongside the Office 365 E1 and Microsoft 365 Business Basic promo?Yes, paid add-ons can be added to Office 365 E1 or Microsoft 365 Business Basic promos even during theinitial 6-month discount period.What happens when I increase seat count (remaining below maximum) on the promoted offersduring the promotion period?For subscriptions purchase with promotional pricing, new seats (under max seat count of 3000 for Office365 E1 and 300 for Microsoft 365 Business Basic) added to this subscription during the promotion periodwill receive the same promotion price for the same discount period. New seats added outside of thepromotion period (after June 30, 2020) will receive the regular price.8

Inan effort to support our partners and ensure these opportunities remain as Office 365 or Microsoft 365customers, we will be incentivizing our partners with rebate incentives at the end of their customer(s)annual commitment term.How does the rebate work?Ingram Micro will track promo subscriptions initiated from May 4th through June 30th. Any seats thatremain active through the full annual commitment, Ingram Micro will offer a rebate for remaining activeseats following month 12.How much can partners earn?The promotion will follow a tiered rebate structure. Partners must reach 50 seats to be eligible for thisoffer. 50-seat minimum can be a combination of M365 Business Basic and Office 365 E1 seats. Downgraded SKUs will not qualify. Additional seats added throughout the yearwill not be eligible for this promotion. Ingram Micro will review seats initiated during the promo period ofMay 4th through June 30th , and map those seats to the number of paid seats at the end of the 12 monthperiod. Qualified upgraded SKUs include: Office 365 E1Office 365 E3Office 365 E5Microsoft 365 Business BasicMicrosoft 365 Business StandardMicrosoft 365 Business PremiumHow does a partner take advantage of this offer?Partners can participate in 3 easy steps:1.Opt-In to the promotion through the offer landing page: microsoft.ingrammicrocloud.com/remotework2.
