NEXTWelcome to the Participant PortalThe Participant Portal is your entry point for electronic administrationof your EU-funded research and innovation projects orproposals that hosts a full range of services for managing and monitoringproposals and projects throughout their lifecycle.To be able to login on the Participant Portal and benefit fullyfrom these services, users have to register firstfor an ECAS account.

NEXTWhat is “ECAS” ?ECAS means European Commission Authentication System.It is the system for logging on to a whole range of web sitesand online services run by the Commission.This ensures a secure, “single sign-on” approach:1 person 1 e-mail address 1 ECAS account.The creation of an ECAS account is free and easy.

NEXTHow to register for an ECAS account?

NEXTThe ECAS User Registration Form opensFill in the “E-mail” fieldusing your individual professional email address.Note: the e-mail is the main identifier(1 person 1 e-mail address 1 ECAS account)No functional e-mail address!Fill in the “Security check” fieldTick the check boxand click on “Sign up”

NEXTCheck your mailbox, a confirmation e-mailwill arrive within a few minutes.This process must be completedwithin 1 hour and a half after the original request.

NEXTClick on the link in the confirmation e-mailto be redirected to the Password initialisation page of ECASXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxxxxx

NEXTxxxxxxxCreate a new passwordand click on “Submit”

NEXTYour new ECAS password is successfully created.You can now log in to the Portal.Important: ECAS credentials are strictly confidential!

NEXTLogin with your ECAS account

NEXTMake sure the selecteddomain is “External”Enter your username or e-mailaddress and your passwordClick on the “Login!” buttonThe Login page (ECAS authentication) appears

You are now logged in to the Participant Portal.Depending on their roles,users will have access to different services.
