Installing NewDVR Cable BoxStep 1: Connect Your New DVR Cable Box1Connect coaxial cable from the wall outlet toCable IN on the DVR Cable Box.2Connect HDMI cable from the back of your DVR Cable Boxto the HDMI input* on your HDTV.3Connect power cord from the back of your DVR Cable Boxto the power outlet.CABLE/ANTENNA INCABLEOUTLETHDMI IN1WALLOptional hookup23*Please make note of the HDMI input used on the TV as you’ll need to tune your televisionto this input once you turn it on.OPTIONAL: If you do not have an HDMI port on the back of your television, connect thesecond coaxial cable from the back of the television to the port on the new box labeled TO TV.M731-34841-007 HD

Step 2: Complete Your Installation1Power on your television and your new DVRCable Box. Using your television remote control,tune the TV to the appropriate HDMI input.2Install any additional boxes you may have ordered.3Call 1-800-562-9769 and follow the instructionsto activate your new box(es).4Once each box has been activated, it will turnoff automatically. Please wait five minutesbefore powering it back on.Once the DVR Cable Box is activated, you will be able towatch television while the guide information is downloading.You may see a “To Be Announced” message displayed untilthe guide download is complete.MEDMN00034

Replacing PreviousCable Box EquipmentStep 1: Disconnect your Previous Cable Box1Turn off your television and previous cable box.2Disconnect the power cord from the back of your previouscable box and remove it from the power outlet.(Your new box may have different power requirements. It is bestnot to use the old power cord with the new box.)3 nscrew and remove the coaxial cable(s) from theUports labeled Cable IN and To TV (if connected) fromthe back of your previous cable box.4Set your previous cable box aside and refer to the sectiontitled, Return your previous cable box.

Step 2: Connect Your New DVR Cable Box1Connect coaxial cable from the wall outlet toCable IN on the back of your DVR Cable Box.2Connect HDMI cable from the back of your DVR Cable Boxto the HDMI input* on your HDTV.3Connect power cord from the back of your DVR Cable Boxto the power outlet.CABLE/ANTENNA INCABLEOUTLETHDMI IN1WALLOptional hookup23*Please make note of the HDMI input used on the TV as you’ll need to tune your televisionto this input once you turn it on.OPTIONAL: If you do not have an HDMI port on the back of your television, connect thesecond coaxial cable from the back of the television to the port on the new box labeled TO TV.

Return Your PreviousCable Box1Return your previous cable box by placing it into theshipping box. Please make sure to include all items beingreplaced such as the power cord and remote.2Close and seal the box.3Place the enclosed return label on the outside of thebox, completely covering the previous shipping label(s).4Refer to the letter within your equipment kit formailing instructions.Note: If the unused equipment is not received within15 business days, this may result in an unreturnedequipment charge. This charge will be removed fromyour account when Mediacom receives the equipment.
