PanelStation Migration GuideAbout Pro-face PanelStation Product Line:Pro-face is the most recognized and trusted name in operator interfaces and graphiccontrollers worldwide. Pro-face PanelStation operator interface products are 100%equivalent to GE Fanuc’s QuickPanel products. GE-Fanuc and Total Control Productsprivate labeled our products for exclusive distribution in North America during the 1990s.In 2003, Pro-face began marketing its own brand of operator interface products in NorthAmerica. Most important was the Pro-face PanelStation products which were created toprotect our customers by maintaining, servicing and supporting the existing installedbase of products (QuickPanels). This product line uses the same model numbers andunits you have previously purchased from other sales organizations.The Pro-face version of QuickDesigner 3.7 software is identical to the original version ofQuickdesigner 3.7 with the exception of no GE driver support. The software servicepacks that are required to maintain hardware revision compatibility are also different. Ifyou require GE connectivity you must use the QuickDesigner version supplied by GEFanuc, but you can still use our hardware.Pro-face remains the sole manufacturer and long term supplier of these products.We sincerely appreciate your continued support of Pro-face products.Thank You.Pro-face AmericaAbout This Migration Guide:This migration guide is intended to provide you a recommended migration path for thePanelStation and QuickPanel products. Availability of each PanelStation product issubject to change.Two choices are offered as a product migration path.1) Easiest Solution: Upgrade to the latest version of PanelStation products whichare drop-in replacements to existing installations.2) Recommended solution: Migrate to the AGP3000 HMI hardware and GP-Pro EXsoftware platform. This software platform is not compatible with your existinginstalled base. The main advantage for QuickDesigner users is the ease-of-useof GP-Pro EX HMI software plus AGP3000 products are cutout compatible withPanelStation products. .1
