It is lightweight, durable, fire resistant, low heat conductivity, waterresistant, corrosion resistant with the ability to simulate many differentsurfaces. Home built after 1989 have a lesser likelihood of containingasbestos, followed by increasing probability for homes built between 1979and 1989; then greater yet possibility for homes built between 1950 and1979; and homes built prior to 1950 have the greatest probability ofhaving asbestos materials.Board and Batten1” x 6” or 1” x 8” wooden siding boards and 1” x 2” wooden batten appliedvertically to create a barn‐like exterior finish.
