Case Study: Texas Woman’s UniversityCompany Name: Texas Woman’s University Vertical: Higher Education Location: Central Region, Denton/Dallas, Texas Telephony Infrastructure: Skype for Business, NEC being decommissionedThe Situation: Texas Woman’s University is focused on Enterprise Voice Modernization and SIP centralization inorder to reduce costs, accomplished by consolidating trunking into two main data centers in this project. Inaddition to the SBC’s, there are a large number of analog lines to be connected. Centralized management andmonitoring is needed for multiple types of equipment. Automation is critical for E911 location identification androuting.The Solution: TWU chose AudioCodes SBCs, SBA’s, and Gateways for this project due to our close alignment withMSFT and relationship with the AudioCodes and C1 sellers. Microsoft directly recommended that AudioCodesprovide the core Hardware and Software for the project. The Gateways, SBC’s, ARM, and OVOC will were implemented in a project coinciding with new SIP trunk install. OVOC will be used to manage and monitor the equipment, and ARM will be used for E911 locationidentification and routing. The last phase is the Skype for Business end points (phones) and conference devices.Value Received: Using the AudioCodes SBCs resulted in the following benefits: Allowed for a slow migration away from NEC, while gaining the value of building out their MSFT environment. Cost savings as a result of modernizing the environment with SIP Trunks.
