Origami ButterflyInstructions1. Start with your paperwhite side up.www.origami-fun.com2. Now Fold the Paper inhalf diagonally, bothways.Fold in half, open, then foldin half the other way.6. Fold the outside edges intothe centre line3. Fold all four corners intothe centre and crease well4. Turn Over and Fold all fourcorners into the centre again.5. Your creases should looklike this. It looks complicated,but dont worry!8. Rotate the model, and repeat step 7.7. Holding each inside edge from the point at thecentre, bring these edges out to the points shown.Then, fold the top edge downwards and flatten9. Fold the top halfbackwards and flatten10. Fold down thefront outside corners11. Fold theseoutside cornersinward as shown12. Fold thebutterfly in half13. Now fold the toplayer backwards, at theangle shown.14. And now fold theback wing backwardsalso at the same angle15. Open out. Yourbutterfly is complete!

Step 1:Start with your paperwhite side up and fold inhalf from corner tocorner to make atriangle.Unfold.

Step 2:In the oppositedirection, fold yourpaper in half fromcorner to corner to makea triangle.

Step 3:Fold the outside cornersto the center line.

Step 4:Fold the same trianglepoints upwards to thetop point.

Step 5:Fold only the uppermostlayers of the top twotriangles outwards.

Step 6:Cut ONLY the top Layerof the bottom pointalong the crease.

Step 7:Fold out the top layer ofthe bottom triangle tomatch the top.

Step 8:Fold the sides in to thecenter.Fold the top point in tothe center.

Step 9:On the top triangle, foldthe tip up.

Optional:If your tortoise won’tstand up, try using apiece of tape to hold theside pieces in.

Step 10: Flip over andyou are finished!

Step 11:Open and lift the rightleg upwards and pushinside the openingbetween the wings.

Step 12:Fold the top pointdownwards to make awing.

Step 12 continued:Flip it over and fold thetop point down to makethe other wing.

Step 12 continued:Fold the tip of one of thepointy tips down tomake a head.
