If you examine the CPUSpecifications table, you’ll see that weincluded many features found in ourmodular CPUs.Review the specsMake sure these features can satisfy therequirements of your application. Sincethese units are completely self-contained,you cannot expand the system or replacethe CPU as you would in a modular system.System capacitySystem capacity is the ability to accommodate a variety of applications. The usermanual, D1-USER-M, contains importantsafety information that must be followed. The system installation should comply withall appropriate electrical codes and standards.Unit dimensions andmounting orientationUse the following diagrams to make surethe DL105 system can be installed in yourapplication. DL105 units must be mountedhorizontally to ensure proper airflow forcooling purposes. It is important to checkthese dimensions against the conditions required for your application. Forexample, we recommend that you leave2” depth for ease of access and cableclearance; however, your distance may begreater or less. Also, check the installationguidelines for the recommended cabinetclearances.Temperature probe2"50mmminPower source2"50mmmin2"50mmminPanel ground terminalBus barPanelStar washersGround braidcopper lugsEarthgroundPanel or singlePoint groundNote: There is a minimum of 2” (50mm) clearance required between the panel door or any devices mounted inthe panel door and the nearest DL105 component.Dimensions and mountingEnvironmental SpecificationsStorageTemperature-4ºF to 158ºF (-20ºC to 70ºC)AmbientOperatingTemperature32ºF to 131ºF (0º to tanceNoiseImmunity30% to 95% relative humidity (noncondensing)AtmosphereNo corrosive gasestDL1-3MIL STD 810C, Method 514.2MIL STD810, Method 516.2NEMA(ICS3-304)DL105 PLCsUnits: )1-800-633-0405

Choosing the power supply is probably the most important considerationwhen specifying a DL105 system, sincenot all I/O combinations are offered witheach power supply option. The table tothe right provides the I/O choices andpower supply specifications for each typeunit.Choosing the I/OThe DL105 product family offers severaldifferent combinations of I/O points.Once you have chosen the power supplyoption, you need to choose the unit thatoffers the type of I/O points needed inyour application.Fixed I/OAll DL105 Micro PLCs have “fixed”I/O that is updated on every scan. Thismeans that all units have 10 inputs and8 outputs, regardless of the actual type ofpoints on the units (DC in/Relay out, DCin/DC out, etc.) The DL105 micro PLC isnon-expandable, so you cannot add I/Opoints. If you are concerned about futuresystem expansion, check our DL06 (36base I/O expandable to 100 total I/O),or the DL205 micro-modular productfamily. The DL205 also offers a wide arrayof features and flexible I/O arrangementswith several different base sizes.Power Supply OptionsSpecificationAC Powered Units24 VDC Powered UnitsPart NumbersF1-130AA, F1-130ARF1-130AD, F1-130DAF1-130DD, F1-130DRF1-DVNET-AR, F1-DEVNET-DDF1-DVNET-DRF1-130DD-DF1-130DR-DVoltage Withstand (dielectric)one minute @ 1,500 VAC between primary, secondary and fieldgroundInsulation Resistance 10 Mq @ 500 VDCExternal Power Requirement85-132 VAC (110 nominal)170-264 VAC (220 nominal)100-264 VDC (125 nominal)10-30 VDC(12 to 24 VDC)with 10 percent rippleAuxiliary 24 VDC Output500 mA max.Not availableMaximum Inrush Current12 A8AMaximum Power30 VA max.1 A (approx. 10 W)Addresses automaticallyassignedThe DL105 uses automatic addressing,so for the vast majority of applications, there is no setup required.
