DATA FROM 50 COUNTRIES2016 vs. 2015: Total accidents decrease by 17 percent.2016 vs. 2015: Fatal accidents decrease by 17 percent.2016 vs. 2013: Total accidents decrease by 29 percent.2016 vs. 2013: Fatal accidents decrease by 31 percent.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES Continuing reductions in U.S., Europe and Mexico. Back on track in Canada and New Zealand. Few accidents in India and Japan. Challenges in CIS and Brazil. More progress in fatal accidents neededin U.S., Brazil and CIS

2016 was very active and the participation level of the Mexican team was increasing with more contributors, including the Mexican ArmedForces.2017 Actions PlanIn this year it have programmed to continue with the Helicopter Operational Safety Committee meetings (HST Mexico) in order toconsolidate the objectives of the Working Group and Sub-groups, the corresponding legislation, the HST Committee broadcasting, andothers topics of interest to development and growth of the Helicopter Industry in Mexico.FUTURE OBJECTIVES In 2018, to have less than 2 helicopter accidents per 100,000 FH Measurement and accident-incident analysis of the helicopters. To make available to the helicopter community the information related with the accidents and incidents analysis, the recommendationsand lessons learned from this. To make a collaboration with the Aeronautical Authority on the development and actualization of the regulations about operationalsafety. To accelerate the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) To have an active participation in the IHST To organize events related with Operational Safety Issues of rotary wing aircraft. To share ideas and tools with other International IHST groups Due to the creation of the HST Mexico, it has been achieve a clear communication to attend the needs of the industry and also forthe Aeronautical Authority continue with helicopter operational safety in Mexico
