8620 SPECTRUM CENTER BLVD.SAN DIEGO, CA 92123ARTICULATION AGREEMENT WITHCOCHISE COLLEGEAshford University and Cochise College have entered into this ArticulationAgreement in the spirit of cooperation and to mutually recognize each otheras quality institutions of higher learning. The purpose of the Agreement is toenable Cochise College students who transfer to Ashford University tocarry with them the credit they have already earned. The ArticulationAgreement provides a structure through which transfer articulation on alllevels can be supported. Students may pursue their academic andprofessional goals through any one of the Bachelor’s degrees offered atAshford University.Cochise College graduates with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0entering under the terms of this agreement are guaranteed admission into aBachelor’s degree program at Ashford University provided they meet alladmissions requirements for the degree program. The transfer guidesoutlined in this Articulation Agreement are applicable to studentstransferring to Ashford University from Cochise College during the Catalogyear 2013-2014.Under this agreement, Cochise College students transferring with acertified AGEC-A, AGEC-B, or AGEC-S pattern, or an associate degree witha minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and containing the AGEC-A, AGEC-B, orAGEC-S pattern, will have fulfilled all lower division General Educationrequirements at Ashford University. The General Education Capstone course must still be completed at Ashford University.Cochise College students transferring without an aforementioned degree will have all college-level academic credit (generally,100-level or higher), and with a grade of “C-” or better, accepted for transfer on a course-by-course basis into the academiccategories that are the best fits (e.g., elective, General Education requirement, major course). Students may transfer up to 90Cochise College credits.Credits must have been earned with grade of “C-” or better from regionally accredited or selected nationally accredited collegesor universities. Transfer credits will generally be evaluated from each college or university independently. A maximum of 9credits with a “D” grade are transferable as long as the student’s cumulative overall GPA is 2.0 or above. “D” credits cannot beapplied toward the major or toward General Education competencies.Transfer credit may not be granted when it duplicates college credit previously earned. Credit will not be given for the samelearning twice.All students must successfully complete a minimum of 30 upper-division credits to graduate. Lower-division courses transferringin to satisfy upper-division courses will not constitute completion of the 30 upper-division credits required for graduation.Graduate-level transfer credits cannot be applied to undergraduate degrees. The online modality at Ashford University placesno general age limit on transfer credit from regionally accredited and selected nationally accredited institutions, with possibleexceptions in subject areas where there have been significant change.
