Students who complete the CommunityCollege of Allegheny County Associate of Science in Nursing at Community College of Allegheny County have partially satisfied theUC General Education requirement. Additional courses may be required to fulfill UC RN to BSN (Online) prerequisites.Articulation Overview: Graduates from Community College of Allegheny County who have followed and completed the prescribedprogram and are accepted into the College of Nursing will receive applicable transfer credit toward the RN to BSN (Online) programas outlined below.Prerequisite Requirements: Most students will have completed the majority of the prerequisite requirements in their associatedegree program. If all prerequisites are not complete, a student may be admitted to begin the RN to BSN program immediately;however, successful completion of all prerequisite courses is required to obtain the BSN degree. Completion of prerequisites whileenrolled in the RN to BSN program may prolong time to degree. Not all prerequisites are offered at the University of Cincinnati at alltimes in an online format. The prerequisite courses can be completed at any regionally accredited institution and transferred to theUniversity of Cincinnati to fulfill the requirement. Prerequisite charts for this partnership can be found in Addendum One of thisdocument.Admission Criteria: *Note: completing the RN degree program and the prerequisite courses in Addendum One of this documentdoes not guarantee admission to the UC Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.The RN to BSN (Online) program is designed for individuals who have previously completed an associate degree or diploma innursing and are licensed registered nurses. Complete admission requirements include: A completed University of Cincinnati application for undergraduate admission All official transcripts from previous colleges attended with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Documented completion of an associate degree in nursing or diploma leading to an RN license Documentation of an active, unrestricted RN license Application fee Confirmation fee (once accepted)Minimum GPA: 2.5 recommendedOfficial transcripts of previous college coursework with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 recommended. Competitive applicationswith a GPA below 2.5 will be considered on a case by case basis.Admission Period: Community College of Allegheny County students must be admitted to the UC College of Nursing during theduration of this agreement (i.e. between November 2020 and November 2023).Agreement Execution Date: November 2020Agreement End Date: November 2023EXECUTION, DURATION AND REVIEW OF AGREEMENT:This agreement becomes effective upon its signing by the Deans of both Colleges and will remain effective for three years. At theend of this time, the agreement will be reviewed and may be renegotiated. Community College of Allegheny County and the UCCollege of Nursing agree to keep one another informed as program changes affecting the agreement occur. The Deans of bothColleges will agree upon any future additions and/or amendments to this document in writing.

TRANSFER ARTICULATION AGREEMENTAs strong partners, Community College of Allegheny County Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program agrees to providedirect access to Associate Degree of Nursing students in the last semester of their degree program to a University of Cincinnatirepresentative. This could be in the form of a classroom visit or other opportunities to directly interact and educate students aboutthe RN to BSN (ONLINE) program at the University of Cincinnati. Community College of Allegheny County Associate of AppliedScience in Nursing Program also agrees to provide a graduation list with emails. The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing willprovide success rates of incoming cohorts of Community College of Allegheny County Associate of Applied Science in NursingProgram students upon request.This agreement will be reviewed on an annual basis and is subject to change due to revisions in program curriculum.
