Cast Biographies in alphabetical orderNate Blossom EnsembleNate is from Benton and is in the 7th grade at South Marshall Middle.He has previously been on the MHT stage in James and the GiantPeach as the Centipede, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, JR. as aNarrator, and Charlotte’s Web as Lurvy. Nate’s hobbies include writing,swimming, and playing with his dog! Nate wanted to be a part of theshow because he “has read the books and fell in love when the showwas announced at MHT!”Jalin Burnette KangaJalin is from Paducah and is a 4th grade language arts teacher atLone Oak Intermediate. We have previously seen Jalin in Charlotte’sWeb as Edith Zuckerman, The Outsiders as Sandy, and The Grapes ofWrath as Rose of Sharon. She is one of the teachers in charge of theDrama Club at LOI and she loves to read, paint, and play with her pets!Jalin wanted to be a part of this show because she has “always lovedWinnie the Pooh and wanted to be a part of making it come to life!”Saidee Carvell EnsembleSaidee is from Paducah and is a freshman at McCracken County HighSchool. Saidee has previously been on the MHT stage in James inthe Giant Peach. Some of her hobbies include drama club at school,volleyball, and hanging out with friends. Saidee wanted to be in thisshow because she “loves acting and putting myself out in the world.”Carson Chesnut Winnie the PoohCarson is from Paducah and is in the 7th grade at Paducah Middle.An MHT veteran, Carson has been in several productions includingCharlotte’s Web, The Rainbow Fish, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,JR., and Junie B. Jones the Musical, JR., to name a few. Carson hasbeen in at least 13 Family Series shows at MHT and over 75 showstotal. Some of his hobbies include singing, acting, dancing, watchingsports, playing outside, and playing with his turtle, Shelldon. Carsonalso enjoys playing the trumpet, violin, and piano.Abbie Dawson EnsembleAbbie is from Paducah and is in the 7th grade at Lone Oak Middle.She has previously been in roles at MHT including Wilbur inCharlotte’s Web, Spider in James and the Giant Peach, and a studentin Ramona Quimby. Outside of acting, Abbie enjoys drawing and beinga member of the art club at her school. When asked why she wantedto be in Pooh, she said “it seemed like fun and I just love being inplays!”Nathan Franklin OwlNathan is from Paducah and is in the 8th grade at Paducah MiddleSchool. Nathan has been on the MHT stage before in The StinkyCheese Man and Miss Nelson Is Missing. Some of his hobbies includerunning cross country and playing trumpet. Nathan wanted to be apart of Pooh because he “loves Winnie the Pooh and when I heardabout the show, I needed to be in it.”

Dagny Page RabbitDagny is from Paducah and is in the 7th grade at Heath MiddleSchool. Dagny has appeared in MHT’s Family and Signature series’with her role as Angie in Something Dark, Young Elsa in Disney’sFrozen, JR., and a Narrator in Charlotte’s Web. Dagny enjoys playingharp and oboe, singing, and she’s also currently in rehearsal forSeussical KIDS here at MHT. She wanted to be in Pooh because she“enjoys theatre and it’s the first play I’ve been able to do in a while.”Bryan Pont EeyoreBryan is from Paducah and is a freshman at West KentuckyCommunity and Technical College. He has been in several MHTproductions including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, JR. as Lumiere,Stuart Little, and Music Man. Bryan enjoys writing poetry and hasbeen featured in ten books, and he also sings in two choirs! Hewanted to be in Pooh because he “wanted to be Eeyore!”Anya Swenson PigletAnya is from Paducah and is in the 4th grade at Clark Elementaryand she is making her Market House Theatre debut! Anya is in GTCDrama at Clark and wanted to be a part of the show because she“thought it would be fun and I was ready to get out of the house!”Clark Turner RooClark is from Benton and is in the 6th grade at North MarshallMiddle School. We have previously seen Clark on the MHT stage inStuart Little, Ramona Quimby, and The Christmas Story. Some of hishobbies include playing Fortnite, Legos, and drawing. Clark wanted tobe a part of the show because he “loved Christopher Robin’s movie.”Elijah A. Turney EnsembleElijah is from Paducah and is a sophomore at Paducah Tilghman. Hehas been in the previous MHT productions of Ramona Quimby, JunieB. Jones the Musical, JR., and Junie B. Jones Jingle Bells BatmanSmells. Outside of acting, Elijah enjoys playing guitar.Jack Vose EnsembleJack is from Paducah and is in the 7th grade at Lone Oak Middle.He is back for his second production at MHT, having previouslybeen in Charlotte’s Web. Some of Jack’s hobbies include basketball,Dungeons and Dragons, and playing the French horn. When askedwhy he wanted to be in the show, he said, “At school I take dramaclass and my teacher, Ms. Emily Parker said I should. And I likeacting!”Jude Williams Christopher RobinJude is from Paducah and is in the 8th grade at Paducah Middle.He has been in the previous MHT productions of Charlotte’s Web,Ramona Quimby, and toured with Story Theatre for The Ugly Duckling.Some of Jude’s hobbies include running cross country, hanging outoutside, and playing video games.

Crew BiographiesEmily Griffin DirectorEmily graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. inCommunication and Theatre Education. She was also the recipient of thePurple and Old Gold Award for Conspicuous Achievement in PerformanceStudies. She completed her student teaching in St. Paul, Minnesota atCentral High School working with the Central Touring Theatre. In addition toher student teaching, Emily completed two summer internships at the DesMoines Playhouse. She continued to teach for the Playhouse’s EducationDepartment for ten years after her internships.April Cochran Assistant DirectorApril Cochran is a theatre teaching artist who recently retired fromMarket House Theatre after a 35 year career, including 10 years asArtistic Director and the last 21 years as Education Director. She is thefounder of PlayTime, Footlights and Story Theatre programs for MHTand has worked as a creative drama specialist and director of children’stheatre productions for over 45 years for school systems, parks andrecreation programs, professional theatre and community theatresthroughout the Midwest.Tom Hansen Set DesignerAward credits: Singing In the Rain, Oklahoma!, Harvey, Philadelphia Story,The Sound of Music, Beauty & the Beast, The Great Sebastians, MorningsAt Seven, Big River, and Crazy For You (nominated 2010 Colorado SpringsFine Arts Council). ENJOY THE SHOW!Jerome Veit Technical Director/Lighting DesignerJerome graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in theater,specializing in technical direction. While at SIU, he was hired as Carpenterand Sound Technician for the theater as well as having sound designedseveral shows including The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Pippin, PunkRock, and many others. In his final year he technical directed a productionof To Kill a Mockingbird and was Assistant Technical Director for Sundayin the Park with George. Jerome also spent three summers working atMcLeod Summer Playhouse as Carpenter, Lead Carpenter, then finally SoundDesigner, working on such productions as Sister Act, Mamma Mia, 9 to 5,Gypsy, and eight additional shows. Angela Hoerner Costume DesignerAngela has been sewing since she was fifteen, and designingprofessionally since 2004. She and her sister opened Costume Builders, acostume design and rental house in Harleysville, PA in 2013. In 2017, shebegan a long-distance relationship with Market House Theatre, designingand building The Addams Family, The Hobbit, The Mountaintop and SisterAct. She fell in love with Paducah and Market House and, when offeredthe job as Costume Director, didn’t hesitate to say YES! She arrived in timeto build Mamma Mia in August 2018 and has been living the dream eversince in beautiful Western Kentucky.Caleb Buford Stage ManagerCaleb graduated from WKCTC and is currently studying CommunicationsStudies at Northern Kentucky University. He is an active member of theBoy Scouts of America and loves to volunteer in the community. Pasttechnical credits include Charlotte’s Web, The Christmas Book, Disney’sFrozen Jr,.
