STANDARD TOOLSDual-Actuated Circulating ValveProduct Family No. H13218ApplicationThe dual-actuated circulating valveis designed to allow a circulationpath above a mud motor from tubingto annulus. When the motor serviceis complete, fluids may need to bepumped for several hours to clean ordisplace the wellbore. The use of thisvalve can save unnecessary wear onthe mud motor during this operation.Advantages Saves wear on the mud motor Large ID permits maximum flow rates Predetermined values on shearscrews and secondary rupture disc Balanced pistonThe dual-actuated circulatingvalve is ball actuated and is normallyrun below the hydraulic disconnectand above the downhole motor. The primary means of actuationis accomplished by pumping a ballwhich will shift the piston sleeve, exposing circulation ports. The secondary means of actuationis through a rupture disc. In theunlikely event that the bottomholeassembly becomes plugged, increased pressure from the surfacewill rupture the disc and allowcirculation of an actuation ball.Specification GuideService6Tool ODTool IDMake Up mmlbDual1.6942.90.4110.411.06280.947,0001-in. STANDARD TOOLSAnnular Circulation ValveProduct Family No. H13287ApplicationAdvantagesThe annular circulation valve isdesigned to allow communication offluid from the tool ID to the annulus. Theannular circulation valve is typically runin tubing cutting applications. Whencirculation is required during runningin the hole, fluid is circulated throughthe flow ports, eliminating the potentialfor rotation of the motor of function orthe DB cutter. Allows the tool string to remainbalanced while running in the hole Large circulation ports Short, simple design No pipe manipulation requiredfor operation of the toolThe inflation valve (product familyno. H33078) is typically run withretrievable and permanent bridgeplugs. An important function of theinflation valve is to equalize pressurefrom bridge plug ID to casing whilegoing in the hole. This preventsdamage to the packing elementand insures that the poppet is notseated too tight in the poppethousing due to hydrostatic pressurewhile tripping in the hole. When the tool is to be set a ball islanded in the seat on either valvewhich closes off communication tobelow the valve and to the circulatingports. Pressure applied to the coiledtubing then shifts a sleeve that closesports to the annulus and also opens acommunication path around the ballto the desired tool configuration below.Specification GuideTool ODTool IDAnnular Circulation ValveProduct Family No. H13287Make Up LengthTensile .317.914.80375.930,0001-in. STANDARD TOOLSTJB Hydraulic DisconnectProduct Family No. H13238ApplicationThe TJB hydraulic disconnect isdesigned to be used with coiledtubing to provide a method ofdisconnecting from the tools runbelow the disconnect. This allows thecoiled tubing to be pulled from thewell if the tool string becomes stuck. The TJB disconnect is usally run justbelow the coiled tubing connectorand back pressure valve(s). The tool isrotationally locked so it is compatiblewith tools that create torque such ascoiled-tubing workover motors. The TJB hydraulic disconnect areball operated devices which requiretubing pressure for activation.Once the ball has seated in the tool, pressure is applied to the coiledtubing, which shears the screws withinthe tool allowing the top section ofthe disconnect to unlatch from thelower section. The tubing may now bepulled from the well and an internalfishing neck profile is exposed on thesection left in the well which facilitatessubsequent fishing operations.Advantages Hydraulic ball drop activation Provides controlled method ofdisconnecting form lower portionof bottomhole assembly Internal GS profile fishing neck Accommodates standard GSfishing tools Pressure balancing feature preventsaccidental hydraulic release Torsional locking mechanismprovides tool compatibility withworkover motor applications Large inside diameter (ID) permitscirculation of actuation ballsbelow the toolThe TJB hydraulic disconnect designis made for applications that involvethe use of Hipp-Tripper and designedfor high axial loading such as thoseencountered in fishing operationsutilizing a jarring assembly. ACCESSORY TOOLSSingle- and Double-Knuckle JointProduct Family Nos. H13230, and H13231ApplicationAdvantagesThe single- and double-pivotknuckle joints are used in fishingoperations in deviated wellbores or inany situation requiring centralization ofthe catch tool in the casing. The knucklejoints are used in conjunction with ahydraulic or mechanical centralizerin order to allow centralization of thecatch tool without having to overcomethe weight of the workstring against thebottom side of the casing. The hydraulicor mechanical centralizer therefore, onlyhas to support the weight of itself andthe catch tool run below. Less force required to centralizebottom-hole assembly Pump through capabilities Torque-through capabilitiesThe knuckle joints design allows fluidflow through the tool, so it can be usedin washover operations. The knucklejoints may be used in either tubingor wireline fishing applications. Thestandard knuckle joints are not sealed, but the tolerances are such that at asufficient flow rate, the knuckle jointseals between the ball sub and theball retainer to activate any hydraulicactuated tools below the knuckle joint.Single-Knuckle JointProduct Family No. H13230Specification GuideType10Tool ODTool IDMake Up LengthTensile RatingStandard rough1.6942.90.5614.19.75247.739,0001-in. .00482.639,0001-in. .00254.046,0001 ½-in. .25514.446,0001 ½-in. .38339.974,0002 3/8-in. ACCESSORY TOOLSHydraulic Bent SubProduct Family No. H13236ApplicationThe hydraulic bent sub (knuckle joint)is designed to provide a meansof hydraulically kicking over abottomhole assembly (BHA) for entryinto laterals or for fishing applications(i.e., side pocket mandrels or fish lyinghigh-side in the completion or liner). The tool is generally run below anindexing tool to allow full radialrotation. The BHA is run in the well todepth and the flow rate is increasedto activate the hydraulic knuckle joint. As the flow rate is cycled the indexingtool rotates allowing the fishing toolor entry device to find the fish orlateral. The maximum kick over angleis determined by selection of theappropriate anvil from a minimum oftwo to a maximum of ten degrees intwo degree increments. The hydraulicbent sub requires hydraulic pressureto operate.Either a choke sub or a nozzle belowthe tool can generate this pressure. The nozzle size can be predeterminedto allow maximum kick over force atthe tool. The hydraulic pressure canalso be generated by a hydraulicrelease fishing overshot or spear whichalready uses a nozzle for activation. The tool can also be used with a boostpiston to lift larger loads or where onlylow flow rates are available.Advantages Easily adjusted for deflection oftwo to ten degrees Anvil establishes predetermineddeflection angle Kick over force easily controlledby hydraulic pressure differential Positive rotational control whenused with indexing toolHydraulic Bent SubProduct Family No. H13236THRU-TUBING INTERVENTION11

ACCESSORY TOOLSNipple Profile LocatorProduct Family No. H13225ApplicationAdvantages Simple design Adjustable drag force Will locate in most nipples Mechanically operatedThe nipple profile locator is a simplemeans of locating a known positiondownhole, allowing for more accuratepositioning of the tool string. This isespecially important with a coiledtubing workstring due to the variationin tubing elongation. The nipple profile locator consistsof three leaf springs retained in ahousing. An upset in the middle of thesprings is at an expanded diametergreater than the maximum ID of thenipple profile it is intended to locate;however, the spring can collapseenough to allow the locator to passthrough the nipple. The contour of thespring allows the tool to move throughrestrictions easily but with sufficientforce to be detected at surface whenpassing through a restriction. Toovercome the effects of hole drag indeviated wells, the adjustment sleeveallows the tension on the spring to bechanged so there will be greater orless drag required to pass throughthe restriction.Specification GuideTool ODTool IDMake Up LengthTensile RatingStandard 8.828,0001-in. ACCESSORY TOOLSSingle- and Dual-SwivelProduct Family Nos. H13264 and H13263ApplicationA single- and dual-swivel are used toallow the tool string below the swivelto remain stationary, while turning theconnection above. This eliminates theneed to turn the whole string of toolsin order to make up the top tools. Thesingle-swivel has a bearing for tensiononly. The dual-swivel has bearings forboth tension and compression. The standard swivel is normallyassembled in the tool string justbelow the coiled tubing connector.Once assembled in the tool stringit provides a swivel point below thetubing connector for the purpose ofmaking up tools. The single- anddual-swivels are a typical swiveldesign with friction type thrustbearing. The mandrel and bottomsub are free to turn with respect to thetop sub and housing. The dual-swivelhas friction type thrust bearings ontop as well as on the bottom, so thatthe tool can rotate when set-downweight is applied.Lockable SwivelSingle-SwivelProduct Family No. H13264Product Family No. H13265ApplicationThe lockable swivel is designedto perform the same features as astandard swivel when making upthe tool string. When the tool string isready to be run in the hole, a lockableswivel’s clutch will engage to torquelock the tool. When the tool string isbroken down coming out of the holethe lockable swivel’s clutch can bedisengaged to allow the swivel to turnfor ease in breaking down the tools.Advantages Used for deployment of longtool strings Pressure deployment applications Rotationally lockedLockable SwivelProduct Family No. H1326516THRU-TUBING INTERVENTION

ACCESSORY TOOLSSpinning Wash ToolProduct Family No. H13266ApplicationThe high-flow spinning wash toolis used to efficiently wash sand anddebris from the wellbore. Fluid ispumped through a rotating nozzlethat directs the flow to the bottomand sides of the hole.Advantages High speed rotation Sealed bearings May be run with a variety of fluids Can be run on coiled tubing orconventional threaded pipeThe spinning wash tool has a highspeed wash head running on twosets of bearings. The two jettedblades efficiently clear loose scale, sand, and debris- reducing drag ontubing during running in and out ofthe well. This increases working depthcapabilities, particularly in highlydeviated wellbores.Additionally, this tool may be usedto impregnate scales with acid orother inhibitors. Also many differentcorrosives, neutralizers, and otherfluids may be circulated, as thebearing assemblies are isolated. The tool is capable of wi
