Dosage ChartTo properly administer our Parasite Formula, we must figure the correct dosage foryour animal. This chart will help you figure the proper dose for your animal. Allanimals do NOT get the same dose, we go by the WEIGHT of the creature to figurethe best dose to start them at.This is a general chart, so we start at this dose and tweak it as necessary to createa dose specific to the individual.2 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

Dosage FREQUENCY:1)New Herd & Adult MaintenanceWhen you first start using our Parasite Formula, give it AM and PM, 3 daysin a row (i.e. Monday AM & PM, Tuesday AM & PM, Wednesday AM & PM).After the first week, give once a week (i.e. Monday AM).NOTE: Please keep in mind that if you are in an area that doesn’t get a good, long freeze during the winter, or you battle parasite overloads, you may wantto give this more often during the week. Consider following our MaintenanceProgram for Young Animals for your whole herd to keep things under controlor to overcome issues.2)Maintenance for Young AnimalsWe call this the “Herbal Coccidia Prevention Protocol”, but it is used to avoid issueswith a broad range of parasites, including Haemonchus contortus (aka Barber Pole)Maintenance: At least 3x/week AND every day ground conditions are wet. Onedose each of those days. i.e. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, plus any rainy days ormuddy conditions.3 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

3)Acute Dosage FrequencyAcuteDosage(not generallypregnant creatures):forIn a situation of parasite overload, give a double dose of ParasiteFormula by weight of the creature (see chart in Part 1), then give at normaldose every hour for the next 3 hours. Then give at normal dose once every4 hours. You CAN double or triple dose every time to make faster progress .After all symptoms of overload are gone, continue to dose 3x/day for thenext 3 days. THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO FOR GOATS.I would only dose during the night in a critical situation, sleep is healing forthe patient and the caregiver.Acute Dosage FOR PREGNANT creaturesIn a situation of parasite overload, give a NORMAL (or double) doseof Parasite Formula by weight of the creature every 4 hours. If they are beyond the first trimester of their pregnancy, we can usenormal-triple dose. You CAN quadruple dose, but I don’t generally to thatas that is probably more than is necessary to kick the parasite overload. If you make a mistake, do not panic. I have purposely quadruple dosed mypregnant does for every dose with absolutely no issues they kidded rob ust, healthy kids, and the does did fantastic. I have confidence that this formulais safe during pregnancy. After all symptoms of overload are gone, continue to dose 3x/day for thenext 3 days. THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO FOR GOATS.4 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

I would only dose during the night in a critical situation, sleep is healing forthe patient and the caregiver.Tea is also a very, very safe way to use this formula, we cover this in the“Administration” chapter of this class. If more information is needed, pleasesee the How to Prepare Herbal Parasite Formula Tea class for more details.4)Lunar Cycle"Can I use the Parasite Formula with the lunar/mooncycle?"Absolutely! I strongly suggest using the mix at least once a week to breakup the parasite cycle every seven days. According to Equine NaturalHealth (in the United Kingdom), traditional deworming treatment of farmanimals has often followed the moon cycles, so I would personally give thata try.I would suggest starting two days before a full moon (the moon waxing),include the day of the full moon, and finishing two days after a full moon(the moon waning), for a total of five days of using the mix once each day(or put out the tea on those days).Remember, the hatch cycle is every 7-10 days, so I strongly suggest thatyou follow the instructions I provide for correct dosage of the ParasiteFormula, but it would be a great addition to ALSO add the extra (5 dayswith the lunar cycle) if you would like. How to make Garlic & Ginger PasteThis makes it easier to get fresh garlic and fresh ginger into goat kids andgoats that won’t eat the crushed garlic cloves. Please keep this paste inthe refrigerator after it is prepared.5 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

Dosage suggestion of the finished paste: If I have an animal that isbetween 150#-200#, I add ONE Tablespoon (which equals 3 teaspoons) toeach dose of Parasite Formula. My basic Rule of Thumb is to find thecorrect dose of DRY POWDERED herbs for the size of the animal I’mworking with, then I double that amount due to the water content in thefresh herbs (garlic and ginger root). NOTE: It is not necessary to doublethe amount of garlic/ginger paste if you are double dosing the dry herbs. You will need:Several heads of garlicOne Ginger rootExtra Virgin Olive OilA BlenderA high powered blender like a Vitamix or a Blendtecdoes a fantastic job. Here is a link to my website, and it shows the exact Blendtec that Ipurchased: Links & Discounts page . I have beentold that an immersion stick blender also works well, but I have not tried that myself. This one may workwell, but I do not own it so I cannot speak frompersonal experience. You will be weighing the ginger root and the garliccloves and using EQUAL PARTS of each, i.e. 1 ounce of garlic and 1 ounceginger.Steps:1. Roughly peel the heads of garlic (you don’t have to get all the skin off)and place them in your blender.2. Cut the ginger into small pieces and place them in the blender.3. Cover with enough oil to cover the garlic and ginger.4. Turn on blender and liquefy.5. Add more oil if needed to make it blend well. You can use thisimmediately, but it also improves with age.Back up plan. If you don't have the ability to make the paste because youdon't have a blender, try dicing the garlic and ginger root, crush it, and addsome raw honey to it to see if they will eat it for you.6 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

Essential OilsAs a Certified Master Herbalist & Aromatherapist, I am a big believer in usingessential oils and herbs together. Essential oils are NOT like using the whole herb– the “safety feature” constituents are left in the herb “marc” (the waste parts ofthe herbs that are discarded after creating an essential oil).I feel the safest way to use essential oils is to use them in combination with herbsso that those safety features are available to the body. Essential oils are powerfuland MUCH more concentrated in the bottle than they are within the herbnaturally. “With great power comes great responsibility”. We must be mindful oftheir potency/concentration and use them wisely. Now don’t get me wrong – I LOVEessential oils! They are an amazing addition to our tool chest. We need to focus onhow to SAFELY use them. Not all essential oils are high quality. Please do NOT trust the essential oils that yousee for sale in the pharmacy or your local grocery store. They may say that they are100% Pure, but they have been tested by third-party labs and are shown to besynthetic or adulterated/cut with other oils. Here is the link to the third-partyresults and information from the person who conducted the tests. Click here formore information about the essential oils that I selected to use for my family andanimals, and detailed information about why I chose to work with this specificcompany. Their essential oils provide consistent, repeatable results from batch tobatch, which is very important - especially when you are working with anemergency/acute situation. My clients and I have had great success with pairing Parasite Formula with highquality essential oils. They are a great addition when we need to pack an extra punchin an acute situation. I have information available here. I will not be providing listof essential oils that I suggest on this page, but I can help you select oils for yoursituation in a consultation. I do not go into detail here about which oils to use forspecific parasite types, as that requires more information about your situation. Ihave several studies that I can analyze to find the best oils for your situation, whichis why a consultation is required.Remember to ALWAYS add a lipid when essential oils are used orally. Consider usingthem with the homemade fresh garlic/ginger paste recipe or add 1/2 teaspoon of7 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

raw honey or Olive oil (if you choose to use an oil, my strong preference is coldpressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil).GI Back on Tract mixNOTE: I sometimes abbreviate the name to GI BoT.While addressing a parasite overload, the animal may experience rapid die-off ofparasites, which releases toxins into their system that can make the animal feel.well. icky. How do you like that technical term? grin During emergencies: I would use a normal dose or double dose (according to weightof the creature) of the GI Back on Tract mix at least 30 minutes after dosing ourParasite Formula, quickly mix the dose into water and drench it FAST. It becomesthick VERY quickly, so don't delay! We need to wait at least 30 minutes or morebetween different herbal mixes for best results. If you can, wait at least onehour after dosing our Land of Havilah Parasite Formula to allow the mix to work thebest. However, if time is of the essence, use the 30-minute rule.GI Back on Tract mix adsorb (not to be confused with absorb) and absorb toxins andeliminate them from the body. This powdered mix supports the kidneys andbloodstream, supports and protects the liver. Soothes, supports, and heals thegastrointestinal (GI) tract, which is taking a beating during a parasite overload. Themix also supports the body in the removal of wastes and toxins. This is also anexcellent to give after the overload is cleared up, to help the body repair any damagedone during the overload.REMEMBER: For best results, do not give the Parasite Formula and the GI Back onTract mix at the same time.GI BoT is also an excellent to give after the overload is cleared up, to help the bodyrepair any damage done during the overload.8 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide

How it Works! The GI Back on Tract formula is a very powerful and effective absorber andneutralizer, which allows it to absorb many times its weight in intestinal fecal matterand waste. It is an excellent absorbing agent for toxins and poisons, such as drug residues, pesticides, insecticides and other harmful substances. This is why we want to doseit separately from our parasite targeting herbs and any medications you may beusing for your animal. It is created to draw harmful substances out of the GI tract, including heavy metalsand carcinogenic radioactive materials. This formula is mucilaginous, which allows it to act as an “internal poultice”. Thisprovides soothing and healing support for the mucous membrane lining of the entireintestinal tract.9 P a geParasite Formula Basics - Quick Reference Guide
