Divineinspiration found expression in his numerous books,five original sets of Yogoda lessons, hundreds ofarticles for the magazines, two volumes of poetry inaddition to those written for the magazines andlessons, and more than a thousand pages ofcommentaries on the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita.One of the main characteristics of Yogananda’swritings is their delightful freshness. We can feelthe inspiration that was flowing from the divine,through his consciousness, through his pen anddirectly on to the paper. They are alive! Theyscintillate with power, wisdom and often withmarvelous humor.Sadly, most of the original editions of hiswritings have long since disappeared into the vaultsof Self-Realization Fellowship. Some have beenreissued in highly edited form. Others have recentlybecome available, ironically, as a result of SRF’sattempt to maintain a monopoly on them.
