Release isincorporated with phase loss sensitivityand a thermal memory which protect themotor against overheating. The selectabletime lag class enables the user to select theoverload release settings for the start-upconditions of the motor.MCCB is used for both short circuitprotection as well as for isolating function,which may be required in startercombination consisting of MCCB, overloadrelay and contactors. The contacts of the auxiliaryswitch close and open together with themain contacts.Alarm SwitchThe alarm switches (AS) are activatedwhen the circuit breaker has been trippeddue to an overcurrent e. g. overload orshort-circuit. However, they are alsoactivated if the circuit breaker has beentripped by a shunt release or undervoltagerelease9
