9RegistrationTuition and payment information 503.399.5011Calculating your tuitionDifferential feeParking permit feeAt the time of publication, Chemeketa’scost per credit is 136 (tuition 99 plus 37Universal Fee) for Oregon students and 307 ( 270 tuition plus 37 Universal Fee)per credit for out-of-state and internationalstudents. For example, an in-state studenttaking 12 credits would pay 1,632 perterm ( 136 x 12 1,632). Visitwww.chemeketa.edu/cost-aid/tuition-fees/ for a tuition calculator.Selected Career and Technical Education(CTE) programs and science courses willhave a differential fee applied to all corecourses in that program. Science classesthat have a lab component will also havea differential fee. The differential fee willbe 10 per credit hour. Please check the“Tuition & Fees” page on the Chemeketawebsite for a full list of programs andcourses that will have the differential fees.Parking permits are required for vehiclesusing Chemeketa’s Salem Campus parkinglots from 8 am–10 pm Monday throughFriday. You will be givendirections to submit to your foreign bankto process the wire transfer.Student responsibilitiesWhen you register for a class, you agreeto pay for it, and you will be responsiblefor all charges and any grade you receive,whether or not you attend. You areresponsible for full payment of all chargeson your account, even if another party ispaying. Additional late fees may also apply.Payment methods and options are listedbelow. To have charges removed, you mustdrop the class or classes by the deadline todrop with refund. You will not be droppedfrom your classes for non-payment. If youare under 18 years of age, you will be heldliable for any charges on your accountunder ORS 348.105.By registering for a Chemeketa course,you agree that tuition, fees, and otherapplicable charges incurred will beconsidered an educational loan betweenyou and Chemeketa Community Collegethat is nondischargeable under Section523(a)(8) of the U.S. Bankruptcy code. Youare further agreeing that if you fail to makeany payments as prescribed above, youraccount may be submitted to a collectionagency and applicable collections fees maybe added to your account balance due. Incase legal action is instituted to collect onyour account, you are agreeing to pay inaddition to the costs and disbursementsprovided by law, such additional sums as acourt of law may determine as reasonablefor attorney’s fees and court costs. You will be required topay a portion of your tuition and fees as adown payment with the remaining balancesplit over additional payment(s). Thereis a non-refundable plan fee of 20. Nolate fees will be assessed on your studentaccount if you are enrolled in a paymentplan within 10 days of registration orbefore the first day of the term (whicheveris later). Payments will be due on the5th of each month (see below) and willbe automatically deducted from a bankaccount or charged to a credit card youhave designated. An authorized payermay enroll in a payment plan to pay youraccount.If you are enrolled in a payment plan andmake changes to your schedule that affectyour account balance (reduce or increase),the revised balance will be split acrossfuture payments due. There is no need toset up additional plans.
