PUTNAM COUNTYQUALITY OF LIFE SURVEY2021Conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & StrategyMason-Dixon Polling & Strategy16

BACKGROUND & RESEARCH OBJECTIVES This survey was commissioned by Palatka Young Professionals, a coalition of citizens and leaders workingto make our Putnam stronger, healthier, and more vibrant through a shared vision and action plan.XXXXXX seeks to create a citizen-inspired vision, engage the community in the process, and be intentionalabout Putnam’s development. The Palatka Young Professionals creates community dialogue, conduct outreach and information sharingwith the public, community leaders, business, and public policy makers. Essential to the the Palatka Young Professional’s mission, and the objective of this survey, is anunderstanding of the public’s awareness of and attitudes towards these issues and challenges. That is the context in which the survey of Putnam voters was conducted. These objectives wereaccomplished and are detailed in this report.Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy202117

METHODOLOGY This poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, Inc. of Washington, D.C. fromSeptember 27- October 4, 2021. A total of 500 registered voters, each of whom resides inPutnam County. Voters were interviewed by telephone. Those interviewed were selected randomly from a commercially available Florida Statevoter registration file. The resulting sample fairly reflects the demographic profile ofregistered voters in Putnam County. The margin for error, according to standards customarily used by statisticians, is no morethan plus or minus 4.5 percentage points. This means that there is a 95 percentprobability that the "true" figure would fall within that range if the entire population weresampled. The margin for error is higher for any subgroup, such as a gender, income orrace.Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy202118
