New students-Complete the admissions process ve cadets only need to attend the presentation portion of new studentorientation. Please let the orientation staff know that you are a fire academy studentand you will not be required to attend the advising/course selection portion.Current Students-Proceed to Step 22. Complete the Registration Packet forms (Background Check, Health History, andPhysical Examination).3. Preliminary Visit Schedule an appointment with Chief David Griffin, David.K.Griffin@lonestar.edu,to submit your completed packet forms. Once Chief Griffin confirms that you meet the qualifications for the program, hewill provide you with a signed Registration Form.4. Registration There is no separate application process for the academy. Courses are filled on afirst come, first serve basis. Registration for the Fall 2021 Academy willbegin on April 12th. Enrollment will be limited, so it’s important not to waituntil the last minute to start the process. Fire Academy is day class only. To maintain academy enrollment, please be sure to submit payment byAugust 16th (date not confirmed) to avoid being dropped from the courses.If you are dropped for nonpayment, there is no guarantee that you will be ableto re-register.

The program prepares students for service inurban, rural, and suburban settings. In addition to firefighting skills, the program workswith students to develop professional skills. Course materials will be covered, and program expectations will bereviewed. Orientation dates will be July 21st or July 22nd. Orientation time will start at7:00pm at The Woodlands Emergency Training Center. You must attend one of theorientation dates. The program director must be notified by the student if he/she isunable to make orientation.
