3Hello Fellow APICS Members! I couldn’t be more satisfiedwith the relevance and quality of the educational experienceswe have been able to provide the last two months! We hadgreat comments about our November meeting and our speaker, Don Guild, who spoke on how to optimize operations through the marriage of MRP and Kanban. Our tour of Cox Machining this month wasoutstanding in that we were shown a great example of a very well-run machining facility. One of thehighlights for me was their outstanding utilization of their ERP system and the excellent visibility ofshop floor operations that was evident throughout the factory.President’s MessageOur January meeting promises to continue the momentum. We will be meeting at the National AviationTraining Center Auditorium at WATC off north Webb and K-96. This is a great facility and it is alwaysa treat to meet there. Our speaker will be Bill Brown, Senior Vice President of Global Customer Support at Spirit Aerosystems. His experience and perspectives are sure to be very enlightening and I amreally looking forward to it! I hope to see everyone there!Bill Carroll Ph.D., CPIM, CIRMPresident, APICS Wichita2013-2015Programs Calendar 2015DateTopicSpeakerCompanyThursday, Jan 15, 2015Moving Forward HappilyDespite Unexpected ChangesBillBrownSpiritTuesday, Feb 10, 2015WSU Student ChapterpresentsTuesday, Mar 10, 2015VSM and ContinuousImprovement ToolsBrianHaysCase NewHollandTuesday, April 7, 2015TBDWednesday, April 8, 2015Tuesday, May 12, 2015Seminar TBDExcel Plant Tour
