Just like Vincent Van Gogh, you are to draw yourown vase of sunflowers (at least three sunflowers). Use a pencil first before coloring with crayons.-Art History: Some more information that you can share and discuss with your child of Van Gogh’sSunflower Series before drawing. sunflowers/Activity 2: Drawing – My Scribble Family-Materials: Paper, Crayons-Directions: You are to listen to the read aloud of I’m Not Just A Scribble by Diane Alber(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v U8go4ZveIcU ). Just like Scribble, you ae to draw your family as ascribble family. Include pets too! And don’t forget to draw your house.-Advice: You can ask them their favorite color(s) and expression that you can draw as a scribble.Activity 3: Watercolor Painting – Flowers Collage-Materials: Paper (2), Green Construction Paper, Glue, Pencil, Eraser, Crayons, Watercolor Paints, Water,Brush-Additional Materials: Placemat, Apron/T-Shirt-Directions: You are to listen to the read aloud of Flowers by Vijaya Khisty Bodach(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v NMGq73y 5W0 ). On the first paper, you are draw in pencil atleast three big flowers and trace pencil marks with crayons, do not color in. Repeat step on secondpaper with four small flowers. Once flowers are traced with crayons, use watercolor paints to color.Once flowers are dry, cut out to rearrange and glue on green construction paper.Activity 4: Tempera Painting – Symmetrical Butterfly-Materials: Paper, Pencil, Eraser, Tempera Paint, Water, Brush, Paper Towel-Additional Materials: Placemat, Apron/T-Shirt, Palette-Directions: You are to listen to the read aloud of The Butterfly by Anna Milbourn and Cathy Shimmen(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v 76SEueaI954 ). Like in the story, you are to use your pencil todraw a big butterfly in the center of the paper. Make sure to design the wing the identical so thebutterfly wings are symmetrical (the same). Once you are finished drawing, you may use your temperapaint to add color.-Advice: Make sure to use a light layer of paint to avoid making holes in the paper.

Activity 5: Paper Sculpture – Sunflowers-Materials: Tempera Paints (Yellow and Green), Paper Plate, Toilet Paper or Paper Towel Roll, Scissor,Glue-Additional Materials: Placemats, Seeds, Palette-Directions: You are to create a sunflower. You are to paint the paper plate in yellow and the toiletpaper/paper towel roll will be painted in green. Use the scissor to cut small lines along the edges of thepaper plate and glue the seeds in the center. Glue the paper plate on one end of the toilet paper/papertowel roll.
