Consult the options list followingeach series listing in this catalogue for the brake types offered with that series.Side Pedal Brake (BR):This pedal style brake is mounted on the side of the caster by way of the axle. Pushing the pedalcauses the brake to activate against the side of the wheel preventing the wheel from turning.This is the most economical brake type available.BW/BR-5150-BAL-RBTotal Lock Brake (TLB):This pedal brake is mounted on the trailing edge of swivel casters only. Depressing the pedal causesthe brake to activate against the wheel face, stopping it from turning. At the same time, the swivel lockmechanism activates against the raceway of the caster preventing the caster from swiveling.These brakes may increase the swivel radius on some casters.GP/TLB-3150C-ES-HRBT-Handle Brake (TBR) & New Knob Brake (KBR):This simple, yet effective brake consists of a metal "T" handle threaded into a hole in the side of thecaster leg. Turning the handle causes it to activate against the side of the wheel preventing it fromturning. This is especially effective on heavier casters where a cam style side pedal brakemay not provide sufficient locking pressure.HX/TBR-6300-DU-RBPoly-Cam Brake (PCB):This highly effective brake is ideal for heavier casters where maximum braking power is required.A poly-cam handle mounted on the caster is used to activate a brake plunger firmly againstthe face of the wheel preventing it from turning.
