THE IVY TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF INDIANA LOGOAs the focal point of our graphic identity system, the Ivy TechCommunity College of Indiana logo successfully communicates ourmessage in a variety of applications: on buildings, signs, stationery,promotional media, and more. The following guidelines are designedto ensure consistency of appearance, color and positioning of the logo.Please note that regional marketing departments should approve alllogo usage for regional campuses prior to production.SCHOOL NAME“Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana” is the official name.It should be used as such on all official documents. It is permissibleto use the name “Ivy Tech Community College” on all printedmaterial. When utilizing regional names, they should appear as “IvyTech Community College-Region” in written format. Further detailsas to the usage of the name in various formats are detailed in thisstyle guide. It is not permissible to utilize “ITCC” in any manner.LogoIconLogotypeAndersonCampus NameLOGO COLOR OPTIONSDue to the variety of logo usage needs and the many reproductionoptions, you will need to select the artwork most appropriate foryour specific need. Please refer to the “Logo Usage Quick ReferenceGuide” for recommended uses for each version.FONTSTrajan and Fairfield are the recommended font families. To ensureconsistency with the logo, these fonts should be prominent in allpieces you design. When a complementary sans serif font is needed,choose a classic, clean font, such as the Arial or Helvetica font family.IDENTITY ELEMENTSThe term “logo” is used to indicate the major elements of the identity: Icon (the stacked “I-V-Y”) Logotype (the “Ivy Tech Community College” name) Campus name, where applicableThe logo should be reproduced only from the master artworkprovided electronically or from the reproduction slicks included inthis style guide. The icon, logotype, and campus name should neverbe redrawn.Whenever practical, the icon and the logotype should be usedtogether. There may be instances, however, when the icon may appearalone—primarily when the logotype will be reproduced too small or attoo far a distance to be seen clearly (flags are just one example of anappropriate use of the icon by itself).TrajanABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}Trajan BOLDABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}Fairfield tuvwxyz1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}Fairfield uvwxyz1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}Fairfield Light stuvwxyz1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}Fairfield Bold stuvwxyz1234567890 %&*(.,) ?!“ {-}

THE IVY TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF INDIANA LOGO continuedCAMPUS IDENTIFICATIONTo ensure maximum flexibility, there are multiple approved versions ofthe logo: “Statewide” versions(both horizontal and vertical; 1-color, 2-color, andfull-color versions) “Regional” versions(both horizontal and vertical; 1-color, 2-color, andfull-color versions)The preferred version is the statewide logo, but the regional versionsare also acceptable when you need to differentiate based on yourlocation. Remember the following when determining whether aregional logo is needed: The logo’s cumulative impact is stronger when it is usedconsistently. Use the statewide version as often as possible tomaximize its impact on all audiences. Using the statewide logo makes your materials relevant to thelargest possible audience and ensures the maximum shelf life foryour materials. Many students will self-select which campus is best for their needs,so directing them to a specific campus is rarely necessary. Many students will live within the boundaries of one Ivy Tech regionand work outside those boundaries. There are significantadvantages, therefore, when these students see Ivy Tech as aunified, statewide community college, not as an individual campusor region.SIZE GUIDELINESTo ensure visibility, please adhere to the following size guidelines: When using the statewide horizontal logo, the width mustnever be less than 2. When using the statewide vertical logo, the width must neverbe less than .75. When using a regional horizontal logo, the width must never beless than 2.5. When using a regional vertical logo, the width must neverbe less than 1. South BendMinimum Width: 2 Minimum Width: 2.5 MinimumWidth:.75 MinimumWidth:1
