The theme of the week is “everything isconnected.”

From APRIM cont God BlessThis week launches a year-long journey ofKarla Sparapanitransformation,as we grow through the crisis of thecurrent moment by praying, reflecting, and preparingtogether for a better world to come tomorrow. We’llput our preparation into action during the Season ofCreation this September, when Pope Francis hasinvited Catholics to pray and act for our commonhome. In honour of Laudato Si Week and caring for thiscommon home I would like to share this clip by theMiriam Rose Foundation titled ‘Dadirri’. ManyAustralians understand that Aboriginal people havea special respect for Nature. The identity they havewith the land is sacred and unique. Aboriginalpeople have a very strong sense of community. Allpersons matter. All of us belong. All of our us have aresponsibility to care for our world and God’screation. The word ‘Dadirri’ means inner, deep listening andquiet, still awareness. It is a 'tuning in' experience withthe specific aim to come to a deeper understandingof the beauty of nature.Dadirri recognises the inner spirit that calls us toreflection and contemplation of the wonders of allGod's creation. Please watch link to connect and reflect on ourcommon home.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v tow2tR ezL8May Month of the RosaryFor Catholics, the month of May is traditionally themonth devoted to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Andperhaps the prayer most associated with Our Lady isthe Rosary. In the past, there were common symbols thatmarked out Catholics - the crucifix, the wearing ofscapulars, holy pictures, holy water, and in particularrosary beads. In recent times, the Popes have all commended thepraying of the Rosary. Here is a short letter of Pope Francis exhortingCatholics to pray the Rosary, either individually or ingroups. One of his prayers has been included below. To access the second prayer please use the en/letters/2020/documents/papafrancesco 20200425 lettera-mesedimaggio.htmlLETTER OF HIS HOLINESS POPE FRANCISTO THE FAITHFUL FOR THE MONTH OF MAY 2020Dear Brothers and Sisters,The month of May is approaching, a time when thePeople of God express with particular intensity theirlove and devotion for the Blessed Virgin Mary. From APRIM cont It is traditional in this month to pray the Rosary at homewithin the family. The restrictions of the pandemichave made us come to appreciate all the more this“family” aspect, also from a spiritual point of view. For this reason, I want to encourage everyone torediscover the beauty of praying the Rosary at homein the month of May. This can be done either as agroup or individually; you can decide according toyour own situations, making the most of bothopportunities. The key to doing this is always simplicity, and it is easy also on the internet to find good modelsof prayers to follow.I am also providing two prayers to Our Lady that youcan recite at the end of the Rosary, and that I myselfwill pray in the month of May, in spiritual union with allof you. I include them with this letter so that they areavailable to everyone.Dear brothers and sisters, contemplating the face ofChrist with the heart of Mary our Mother will make useven more united as a spiritual family and will help usovercome this time of trial. I keep all of you in myprayers, especially those suffering most greatly, and Iask you, please, to pray for me. I thank you, and withgreat affection I send you my blessing.Rome, Saint John Lateran,Feast of Saint Mark the EvangelistPope Francis25AprilFirst Prayer to Our LadyO Mary,You shine continuously on our journeyas a sign of salvation and hope.We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the foot of the cross, were united with Jesus’ suffering, and persevered in your faith.“Protectress of the Roman people”,you know our needs, and we know that you will provide,so that, as at Cana in Galilee, joy and celebration may returnafter this time of trial.Help us, Mother of Divine Love,to conform ourselves to the will of the Fatherand to do what Jesus tells us.For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrowsto bring us, through the cross,to the joy of the Resurrection.Amen.We fly to your protection,O Holy Mother of God;Do not despise our petitionsin our necessities, but deliver us alwaysfrom every danger,O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.God BlessKarla Sparapani2020
