2022 QUILT RAFFLETHANK YOU Carol Ann Quinsey, RHIA, CHPSA note from Carol – I have worked in a number of capacities in an around the Puget Soundarea since 1978. All have had some relation to medical records. I had the privilege ofserving as President of WSMRA in 1988-1989 and WSHIMA in 2008-2009. It was an honorto serve and the friendships made in those years continue to make it all worthwhile. I alsoreceived the Distinguished Member and Professional Achievement Awards along the way. These were a surprise and I was humbled to receive them!As I began to think about retirement I started thinking about what I could con-tribute to theorganization, hopefully financially, and at the same time do some-thing I was interested in.I was doing a lot of quilting by then and the State had recently opened up the idea ofselling raffle tickets at meetings such as ours. Hence, the idea for the first raffle quilt wasborn, which led to the second, which led to the third, etc. It continued until today, when Ihave made nine raffle quilts for the Association. With the meeting this year changing to a virtual format from the in-person format, we areunable to raffle a quilt this year. But there is always next year! So, I will hang onto the quiltfor a year. It may be my last quilt, but it may not be too! As long as I am having a good timeand making them is a treat for me, I am game to make another. You have not seen the lastof me yet.WSHIMA 2022 HEALTH DATA AND INFORMATION CONFERENCEPage 13
