.0.0 IntroductionThe Aqua Limiter is a Precash system for cold water operations. There is a need for asimple system which is using modern components. It should be used at thecustomer’s site without big investments of time and money. The system is a goodbase for a cost oriented water distribution. New debts can be avoide and old debtscan be collected. It is also nicely usable just for the control of water distribution.1.1.0 Description of functionThe heart of the system is the RFI- Datacard ( Radio Frequency identification) . It hasthe size of a standard- plastic card. It is very often named “transponder-card”.Without touching the reader it will transfer dates and absorb new dates The customeror the distributor gets a card, in which a free selected water quantity can be stored. This water quantity the customer will pay immediately. The price of the water will beinfluenced by: Actual price of the water Pay Back of old debts Cost for the necessity to install the systemThe transponder card will be bought or could be rented by the customer. After thecustomer has got his prepaid card in hands he can activate the use of water byapproaching the card to the card reader. The card reader is installed inside theelectric box. Now the whole value of the card is loaded inside the system. The storedvalue in the card is now “0”. The customer can now reload the card. When theallowed water quantity comes to an end, the stem can be reloaded by just putting thecard inside the reader. When water reaches “0”, the newly loaded quantity will beautomatically be loaded in the system.1.2.1 Basic for the function of the systemNormally the existing water meter with a total length of 190 mm will be exchangedagainst the Mechanical part of the Aqua Limiter. The unit can be mounted in anyposition, even upside down.-3-

.0.0 Card Reading SystemWe use the well known standard RFI- System, which was originally developed for theAmerican army. The transponder cards can store and transfer informations. We areusing readers inside the Aqua Limiter and reader/writers inside the programming unit. The cards are even working under water .They cannot be influenced by standardmeans. The electronic is melted inside the card.2.1.0 CardsAll cards are invisibly pre-programmed from the factory with a system number, whichonly exists one time in the world. By programming with the programming unit, a cardwill be locked to a reader. It is recommended to write a visible customers number onthe card. The cards can be individualized by a printing on the surface. The electronicof the card is melted in the card and will not be destroyed in normal operation.2.2.0 Card ReaderThe card reader in the system consists of an electronic and the antenna. The readeris invisibly integrated in the main electronic. Only the card holder is mounted outside. There is no need for any service for the unit. If it is necessary, the card can be read ina distance of 10 cm. The card reader is reading the pre -given water in liters andreports it to the electronic. At the same time the water quantity is set back to “0”. Nowthe customer can acquire a new quantity. When the water is used and the counter iscoming to Zero, the newly loaded amount will be loaded.3.0.0 Programming StationAs a station there is used a standard PC with an USB interface. No further devicesare needed. The components are the software and the card Reader /Writer.-4-

.1.0 SoftwareThe software for the programming of the cards is one of the main components of thesystem. The Software is very simple to operate and need no special skills or anytraining. The cards, which are delivered with the unit are already prepared for animmediate use. So only the dates of the customer and potentially the water quantitymust be added. The software is absolutely self-explanatory.3.2.0 Card Reader / WriterThis very compact small unit is linked by the USB Interface to the computer. The cardmust be paced onto the unit, there is no need for an exact positioning. Programmingof the card wil be controlled by reading the card after the programming process. Anycard can be read at the system. This is a good possibility for identifying cards, whichare found.4.0.0 Water-Limiter ( Mechanic )The mechanic will be installed instead of the existing meter. The normal length is 190mm. If a 105 mm distance should occur, the mechanic will be installed with the use ofa special distance device and two hoses. ( Picture )4.1.0 Conditions of mountingThere must be a power of 220 V available. By this the unreliable use of batteries areavoided. The climate condition may be standard. Due to the separation of themechanics and the electronics a reasonable positioning of the system is easilypossible.4.2.0 Components of the Water LimiterIn the system there is used a professional meter of Aquadis, which is verifiedfollowing the German laws. The professional reading device is a Cyble also fromAquadis. The unit is operated by a small battery, which has a life time of about 4years. It is constructed in a way that the meter is not visible. The counter is onlyusable for service purposes. Any discussions about reading of the counters areavoided by this construction.-5-

.2.2 Magnetic valveThe professional valve operates with only 3 watts/ 24 V. By loss of power the valve isclosing. When power is back, the valve will open again. The valve is very solid andnormally there is no need for a service. Because of this permanent opening the valvethere is created a temperature which will allow a non frost function even under frostyconditions. It is a main part of the construction to use only professional components andnothing from the “toy” industry.4.2.3 Electronic ( with a 4 m cable to the mechanic )The electronic is using a microprocessor for its operation. It is very compact and easyserviceable. The display shows the quantity of water which still can be used. By thehelp of a small menu the customer can make the necessary steps. The electronicneeds 220 V, the cable to the mechanic operates on 24 V. If there was a loss ofpower the unit will show the value before the loss of power. After the electronic isloaded by the card, a new water quantity should be bought: A new loading of thesystem can only happen, when the counter has reached “0”. By this method anyaccumulations of quantities are avoided. Controls of the system are easy. There is noneed for any further settings. The electronic boy can be fixed with 2 rings.4.2.4 Covers and cablesThe mechanic cover is of high quality steel. All screws are of a non rust type. There isa possibility to close the box by a seal. The electronic cover is water resistant. Allcables are part of the delivery.-6-

.0.0 GuaranteeWe grant a guarantee of 24 months, following the German law. This is only grante bythe normal use of the unit.6.0.0 ServiceWe recommend one service in 1 year under normal conditions. The parts shouldonly be opened by qualified service people.7.0.0 Technical dates / Electric Basics / Further technical datesThe unit operates by 220 V / 50 HZNormal power used is 5 WattsMechanic: 2,4 kg, 190 x 120 x 140 mmElectronic: 1,3 kg, 190 x 11 x 70 mm-7-
