It’s the bestway to prepare for othertests in the SAT Suite ofAssessments, and it’s free. The PSAT 8/9 tests the same skills andknowledge as the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT,and PSAT 10—in a way that makes sensefor eighth and ninth graders. It measures what they’re already learning,shows them whether they’re on track forcollege, and lets them know where theyneed the most improvement. That meansstudents have time to tackle these areaslong before they take the SAT.4
