The suite includes four grade-appropriateassessments with flexible scheduling options.The PSAT/NMSQT , PSAT 10,and PSAT 8/9Using the same scoring scale, the individualassessments within the SAT Suite of Assessmentseach give detailed feedback connected to standardsand instruction while providing early indicators ofcollege readiness. The assessments allow districtsand states to track progress and diagnose tointervene, or accelerate student growth. Becausethe tests use the same scoring scale, they providecumulative feedback on student progress.The new PSAT 8/9 (for 8th and 9th graders)and the redesigned PSAT/NMSQT represent thefirst assessments of the suite to be launchedbeginning in October 2015. In 2016, the PSAT 10(for 10th graders) will be offered during the samespring testing window that applies to PSAT 8/9.The redesigned SAT will be administeredstarting in March 2016. All three PSAT-relatedassessments can be ordered through theonline College Board Test Ordering system atcollegeboard.org/school.In August 2015, high schools should receive TheOfficial Educator Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT andRelated Assessments, which gives deeper insightinto how to use the extensive data we provideto ensure the best outcomes for students. Usethe guide as a resource to better understandthe PSAT-related assessments and how thesetests prepare students to learn the skills theyneed most for success in their college andprofessional careers.Global Conversation»» No Penalty for GuessingThe resulting tests are more transparent andreflective of the kind of rigorous high schoolcourse work that provides a firm foundation forcollege-level study.The SAT Suite of Assessments is connected bya grade-appropriate sequence of knowledgeand skills. The assessments use a commonscoring scale, which means that what a studentscores on the PSAT/NMSQT provides a goodindicator of what he or she will score on theSAT. Working together, these assessmentsprovide benchmarks and consistent feedback forCounseling ResourcesNew Score Reporting PortalThe new score reporting portal available atk12reporting.collegeboard.org offers manyexpanded reports and data resources. Expanding Opportunity with College Board ResourcesStudent Score ReportsSchools will receive access to individual studentscore reports as well as aggregate score reports,a downloadable student data file, and formattedscore labels for download and printing.SAT Registration Information Join thethousands of counselors who use our currentSAT Counselor Registration Report to tracktheir students’ SAT and SAT Subject Tests registration and testing activity, includingfee-waiver usage. This same information willbe offered through the new score reportingportal, allowing you to download reports invarious formats, including print-ready PDFs andspreadsheets for further analysis.The SAT Photo Viewer This tool offers secureaccess to student photos provided at the timeof SAT and SAT Subject Test registration. Thistool allows educators to identify any registrationdiscrepancies of students at their school.BenchmarksNew benchmarks are available for scoresobtained on the redesigned assessments. Thesebenchmarks were developed using concordeddata from the current assessment to providebenchmarks at the section score level. Once theredesigned assessments have been administeredto successive student groups, a new set ofbenchmarks based on data from the redesignedassessments will be offered.Services for Students withDisabilities (SSD)The College Board is dedicated to ensuring thatstudents with disabilities receive appropriateaccommodations on its tests. All College Boardtests that offer approved accommodations (SAT,PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and AP) use a commoneligibility process.Using the College Board’s SSD Online system,SSD Coordinators can manage their students’requests and approvals for accommodations,including obtaining a real-time listing ofall students approved for accommodationson College Board tests and each student’sspecific accommodation(s). Both the studentand the school receive notification of the SSDoffice’s decision.Educators can visit collegeboard.org/ssd forcomplete information on deadlines, eligibilityrequirements, guidelines for documentation, andaccess to SSD Online.2Advising and Admission HandbookHigher Education andEnrollment ResourcesCollege Board Search and StudentSearch Service As part of College Board Search, Student SearchService helps connect students with the collegesand universities best suited to them. Institutions will receive additionalinformation about score report formats and theexpanded data layout.SAT Trend Dashboard This online tool wasdeveloped for the current assessment to providecomparative SAT score and applicant data aboutprospective applicants. It will be retooled for theredesigned SAT and integrated into the scorereporting portal.Student and ParentResourcesStudent Score Reporting PortalStudents can view the scores for all of theirSAT, PSAT, NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9assessments in one place by logging in tostudentscores.collegeboard.org. This integratedscore reporting portal will provide performancedetails, including high-level skills feedbackand AP Potential information. Additionally,the integrated score report acts as a hub forthe College Board resources that students canengage with after receiving their scores.Fee WaiversThe College Board offers assistance to studentsfor whom payment of SAT and SAT Subject Testsfees may be a barrier to testing and applying forcollege. Fee waivers are available for low-income,
