You’ll want a test thatgives your levels of TSH, antithyroid antibodies, T3, and T4. Butremember that any blood test measures just one point in time, andeven if all your levels are normal, you might still have suboptimalthyroid function. Trust how you feel more than a test result.step 2: Add thyroid- nourishing supplements to your diet thatalso help your body quell EBV if it’s present (and it probably is).These include the following: Curcumin (turmeric) (10 mg once or twice per day) L- lysine (500 mg to 2,000 mg once or twice a day) Vitamin C or Ester- C (2,000 to 10,000 mg per day; you willknow you have saturated your tissues when your stools areloose, so when you hit that point, cut the amount slightly) Methylcobalamin, which is a methylated form of vitamin B12(0.5 to 3 mg per day) Vitamin D, if your levels are below 40– 80 ng/ml (take 5,000 to10,000 IU a day until levels are optimal) Lemon balm extract (two to six dropperfuls per day) Cat’s claw liquid extract (two to four dropperfuls per day) Zinc (7.5 mg of zinc in tablet form twice a day, or two to fourdropperfuls of liquid zinc per day; I like the liquid zinc fromvimergy . com) ReMag and ReMyte mineral solutions (1/2 to 1 teaspoon of eachper day, although the dosage is quite individual, so start slowand build up; available from www . rnareset . com or Amazon) Pico silver solution (1 teaspoon per day; available from www . rnareset . com or Amazon) Chaga mushroom powder (1 tablespoon in 12 oz. of hot wateras a tea; add a tablespoon of honey)step 3: Take a good source of iodine, such as Atlantic dulse powder (1 tablespoon per day in smoothies or soup), kombu (place apiece of soaked kombu in the cooking water for oatmeal or brown

Celery juice in particularis very helpful— drink 16 oz. per day on an empty stomach, first thingin the morning. Also eliminate foods that feed viruses, such as eggs,dairy, soy, and gluten. Give this at least a m onth— it may be all youneed to do to feel a lot better. For more on this, I highly recommendthat you read Anthony William’s book Medical Medium ThyroidHealing (Hay House, 2017). The work of Carolyn Dean, M.D.,N.D., author of The Magnesium Miracle (Ballantine, 2003; updatedin 2017), is also excellent.step 5: Find a coach or good friend to assist you in finding yourvoice and your will. Some good ways to practice this include writinga letter to express something important to you (even if you neversend it), toning (similar to chanting) or singing, and using affirmations (such as “My voice is powerful and readily received” or “I havea song to sing, and I sing it with joy and confidence”). Meditationand other stress reduction techniques such as the Emotional FreedomTechnique (also called tapping) are also helpful because viruses can’tlive in the peaceful alkaline environment such practices help foster.Particularly if you are in a close relationship with a narcissist,you need to know what you’re dealing with and get the right kind ofhelp. I highly recommend The Empath’s Survival Guide (SoundsTrue, 2017) by Judith Orloff, M.D. Dr. Orloff also has a very activeFacebook group for empaths. THE WISDOM OF MENOPAUSE AUDIOBOOK SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALDetox Smoothie RecipeThe following recipe is based on the standard detox smoothierecommended by Anthony William, the Medical Medium.Ingredients:2– 3 organic bananas2 cups wild Maine blueberries (I use frozen ones that Ibuy in five- pound boxes and keep in the freezer)1 orange1 bunch fresh cilantro (just use a handful— about 1 cup)1 teaspoon Hawaiian spirulina1 teaspoon barley grass juice powder1 tablespoon organic Atlantic dulse powder1 heaping tablespoon CurrantC black currant concentrate (Available from www . currantc . com, this stuff is, inmy view, the “secret sauce.” It adds a tart flavor andbeautiful color to this smoothie. Black currants also haveone of the highest ORAC scores of any food. ORAC is anacronym for “oxygen radical absorbance capacity,” andan ORAC score is a measure of the level of antioxidantand anti- inflammatory activity of a food or supplement.)Directions:Blend all the ingredients in a Vitamix or blender. Thismakes about one quart of smoothie, which is enough forone person to consume throughout the day. I like drinking this in two 16- oz. servings. Without going into all the benefits, let me share my experience.I often drink 16 oz. of fresh celery juice every morningupon arising, on an empty stomach. Nothing else added.
