Appliqué Embroidery InstructionsDielines are embroidery designs.Open the dieline with embroiderysoftware and print it.In this example, the fabric piecewill form the apple.If you do not have embroiderysoftware, Wilcom's TrueSizer is afree program that can printtemplates.To prepare the applique piece,spray a piece of medium-weightcutaway stabilizer with temporaryadhesive.Smooth the applique fabric ontop. Then, place the printeddieline on top, and cut out theshape.Some applique fabric, like thelace in this Delicate DetailsBunny (Applique) design, doesnot need stabilizer. Appliqué Embroidery Instructionsapplique, as in this FuzzyWoodland Squirrel (Applique)design, you can use a watersoluble stabilizer such as SulkyUltra Solvy as a topping. This willkeep the stitching looking crispon top of the fabric.Simply lay the topping over thedesign after adding the faux furfabric, then continueembroidering. After the design iscomplete, tear away as much ofthe topping as possible, thenremove the rest according to themanufacturer's instructions. The towel needsstabilizer, too.Cutaway stabilizer is the bestchoice for a kitchen towel. Hoopthe towel with one piece ofmedium-weight (2.5 ounce)cutaway stabilizer.Load the full embroidery design(not the dieline) to the machine.The color change sheet showsthe stitching order.
