The scholarship funds will cover the2013-2014 academic year only and monies will beawarded to the educational institution that you willbe attending.Applicants must meet eligibility qualifications.Download the application form from web addresswww.northbrowardlinks.org. Keep the informationsection for reference. Complete and sign the application form. Submit a current, sealed official transcript. Ask a teacher, guidance counselor, clergyemployer, or community professional tosubmit the attached form verifyinginformation on the student or provide aletter of recommendation on behalf of thestudent.SCHOLARSHIP AWARDSThe North Broward County Chapter of The Linksincorporated program will award non-renewablescholarships to high school seniors selected fromFlorida residents who currently attend high schoolin Broward County.The names of the scholarship winners will beannounced prior to June 1, 2014 and the applicantswill be notified by mail.North Broward County Chapter of The Links,Incorporated scholarship will be awarded directlyto the educational institution that the student will beattending, upon proof of final admission and/ordocumentation that the student has attended theinstitution for at least six months.SELECTION CRITERIA:Consideration will be given to students whodemonstrate a financial need and an academicability. This will be supplemented by completion ofthe other requirements and the applicant’s overallapplication. Awards will be given to minoritystudents without regard to race, creed, color, sex, orreligion or national origin. Submit proof of acceptance andenrollment to college, university,community college, vocational school ortechnical school will be required.Students who interview will be required tosubmit verification of financial need.APPLICATION DEADLINE:The deadline for receiving scholarship applicationsis March 31, 2014. The recipient of a scholarship must be completed orbe in the process of performing an act of humanityor community service that touches the lives of oneor more persons. This must be verified in writingby two references: a teacher, guidance counselor orpersonal representative.
