EVIDENCE OF STUDENTLEARNINGTRANSCRIPTSSupporting college and career readiness, DECA’s competitiveevents transcripts express each member’s performance ratedagainst National Curriculum Standards identified as essentialknowledge and skills and 21st Century Skills. DECA transcriptsprovide evidence of student learning and achievement asdemonstrated by their participation in DECA’s CompetitiveEvents Program at the International Career DevelopmentConference.DECA transcripts are an exceptional tool to provide feedbackfor both advisors and members in helping them assess areasfor improvement in course instruction and student learning.The transcripts provide ranking and performance measuresfor each instructional area on the career cluster exam andfeedback for each performance indicator and/or evaluationcriterion the judge evaluates.Because of the structure of DECA’s competitive eventsprogram, all data is normalized and should be viewedas a snapshot of performance rather than a competitionranking.DECA transcripts are yet another tool in demonstratingDECA’s commitment to integrating DECA into classroom instruction, applying learning,connecting to business and promoting competition.
