Opening Keynote SpeakerDr. Philip McCallionProfessor & Director, School of Social Work,Temple University, Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, USADr. Philip McCallion is the Co-principal investigator of the IntellectualDisability Supplement to the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing, avisiting professor at Trinity College, Dublin, a John A. HartfordFoundation Social Work Faculty Scholar and Mentor, and a member ofthe steering committee of the National Task Group on IntellectualDisabilities and Dementia. His research interests lie in the field ofsocial work, bridging scholarship on ageing populations and thosewith intellectual disabilities such as Down Syndrome. In 1996, hereceived more than 30 million in research funding and publishedmore than 140 articles on interventions with older adults with chronicconditions, caregivers of frail elderly, persons with Alzheimer’sdisease, and persons with intellectual, or developmental disabilities.His interests have extended to creating aging-prepared communities,evaluating non-pharmacological interventions; increasing the reach ofpalliative care programs; and developing community-oriented projectsto assist ageing persons with intellectual disabilities.3

Health Panel 1Mindfulness for HealthModerator:Dr. Sophia WoodardFounder/CEO,Ashanti Truth, North Carolina, USADr. Sophia Woodard is a Renaissance woman who is passionate about her call and purpose as a holisticand seasoned practitioner. Her passion is reflected in her work as Founder/CEO of Ashanti Truth; a uniqueembodiment of healing and personal development for middle school girls and college-aged women. As asocial scientist who has served and thrived in the field of academia for many years, Dr. Woodard hasmentored and inspired many within the United States. Her experiences in academia and the arts were afoundation for Dr. Woodard to become a teacher. She inspired her students to examine their lives and pursuepaths of authenticity and greatness. Now she is designing a new life in women's ministry and buildingAshanti Truth, an organization established in 2005 with a twofold mission: (1) To empower minority anddis-serviced college-aged females domestically and globally and (2) to teach and nurture women tocomplete their degrees. She earned her Ph.D. in Education & Human Resource Studies with a specializationin Community College Leadership/Presidency from Colorado State University in 2008 and her B.A. andM.A. degrees in Political Science from Grambling State and Clark-Atlanta University respectively. In herspare time, she enjoys yoga, preparing for 5k races, mentoring, building her Mary Kay business and writing.She is a proud mother of her son, Jamal, who is a Key Account Executive for a Fortune 500 logisticscompany.Panel Members:Mr. Mansoor Ahmed SCSR Officer, CBM India, Bangalore, IndiaMr. Mansoor Ahmed is a passionate fundraiser and CSR officer at CBM India Trust, a PAN India NGOand part of a global family, having a presence in 55 countries. His role includes creating awareness aboutthe disability cause, acquiring, building, and retaining relationships with corporate and HNIs. Academically,he is a Commerce graduate from Bangalore University, a member of Toastmasters club, and alumni of theIndian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB). He has been recognized by various institutions for hiscontribution to the disability sector. At a personal level, he volunteers at various NGOs, conductsfundraising training programs, also advocates for the rights of people with disability on various platforms.Mr. Mansoor Ahmed S. is very particular about spending time with family at weekends. He is alsoa wheelchair cricket player and known as a star fielder for the Karnataka wheelchair cricketteam.4

Mr. Prasun DuttaAssistant Manager, Marketing, RxDx Healthcare Private LimitedBangalore, IndiaMr. Prasun Dutta is the Assistant Manager of Marketing division at RxDx Healthcare, astate-of-the-art multi-specialty and acute care center in Whitefield, Bangalore, India. RxDxHealthcare aims to establish and operate world-class facilities across the country in the future.They believe that most medical needs can be dealt with in a cozy patient-focused environment,without a patient needing to go to a hospital. Thus, RxDx plans to focus on the area of primary careand pre-hospital care. Mr. Prasun Dutta’s experience in the Sports Management sector has madehim confident in his abilities. Sports have taught him that it’s not always about winning; it’s aboutlearning to do our best and encouraging our teammates to do the same. He believes that teamworkand encouragement are the keys to success. His personal motto is “Whatever we do, we must dowith passion and dedication or not do it at all”. Thus, he would like to excel in a field he ispassionate about.Dr. Suja IsaacOwner, SOUKYA International HolisticHealth Centre, Bangalore, IndiaDr. Suja Isaac holds a Ph.D. in Foods & Nutrition and has graduated with a B.Sc. in HomeScience. She did her M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Foods & Nutrition at the Women's Christian College,Madras University. Both her M.Sc. and M.Phil. dissertation work, which was conducted at theMadras Medical College, Chennai, and the Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, was awarded the“Best Thesis Award” from the University of Madras. She was a professor at the Women's ChristianCollege, Chennai, and Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, where she taught Food and Nutritionand related subjects. Dr. Suja Isaac is the driving force behind the design, architecture, andlandscaping of SOUKYA. Health Panel 2Mental Health Care and ResilienceModerator:Dr. Kevin WashingtonFounder & CEO, Nyansapo Empowerment Works Unlimited,Head of Sociology and Psychology,Grambling State University, Louisiana, USADr. Kevin Washington (Mwata Kairi) is an African-Centered psychologist licensed in Florida andWashington DC, USA. He has taught at several colleges nationally and internationally. He was the formerPresident of the Association of Black Psychologists and is currently an Associate Professor and Head ofSociology and Psychology at Grambling State University. He is also the National Director of BlackMarriage Day. As a Fulbright-Hays scholar, Kevin (Mwata) researched the impact of socializinginstitutions on the healing or restructuring of post-apartheid South Africa (Azania). It was in South Africawhere he researched Ubuntu and how it can inform people of African ancestry and others about mentalhealth service delivery. Not only does he work on healing the psycho-spiritual wounds that are presentwithin people as a result of Cultural and Historical Trauma, but he also continues developing healingparadigms for persons of African ancestry who have been impacted by Persistent Enslavement SystemicTrauma (PEST). This work is critical to his advancing of Ubuntu Psychology/Psychotherapy. He is thefounder of Ubuntu Psychotherapy and advances a culturally sensitive modality for Mental HealthCounseling and Psychotherapy for black men and boys as well as black/African families. He promotesculturally relevant trauma-informed care and interventions that are culturally inclusive. Through hisresearch and writing he seeks to assist people to live life with power, purpose, and passion.6

Panel Members:Dr. Tiffany BatesAssistant Professor, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences,Louisiana Tech University, Louisiana, USADr. Tiffany Bates is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences atLouisiana Tech University, a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice, Vice-President ofNAMI Ruston, and NAMI Louisiana State Board Member. Dr. Bates currently teaches counseling-relatedcourses and has a private counseling practice, Rain to Rainbow Counseling and Consulting, in Ruston.She is the president of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Ruston, and the secretary ofNAMI–Baton Rouge. She is a licensed professional counselor and a certified school counselor inLouisiana and Texas. She has counseled in intermediate and high schools in Texas and Louisiana and alsoworked in a university counseling centre. She has also developed youth programs and empowermentseminars for women.Her research interests include school counseling, adolescents, women, multicultural issues, and disastermental health. Dr. Bates is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She has a Bachelor’s Degree inPsychology from Grambling State University, a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counselling from theXavier University of Louisiana, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University.7

Ms. Shashi MudgalTata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS),Mumbai, IndiaMs. Shashi Mudgal has been in the field of Psychology for over fifteen years. She has a Research andDevelopment Consultant Post Graduation (English Literature; Organisational Psychology). She also has aPost Graduate Diploma in Gender Studies and CSR Research and Interventions. She is trained in Women'sStudies; Development Studies Research; Restorative Circle Therapy; Advanced Training in Psychodramaand Relational Gestalt; Psychoanalytic Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed. Further, Ms. Shashikala is anexperienced and certified Theme Centred Interaction (TCI) expert and a certified Alternative TheatrePractitioner. She has been successful in resolving several psychological issues through this mode of therapy.This mode of therapy offers new paradigms for people to understand themselves, as well as to help one seesituations as opportunities which would help them grow and evolve, and thus have better experiences intheir lives. She has been involved with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, as a Group TherapyFacilitator & a Research and Development Consultant and holds various globally recognized Certificateslike International Certificate in Professional and Personal Leadership and International Certificate inRestorative Justice Circle Method. She also has various articles in the field of psychology to her credit.Ms. Malathi MurthyLife Skill Trainer and Counselor, APSA,Bangalore, IndiaMs. Malathi Murthy is a trained Counsellor for emotional needs, a Life Skills Trainer, involved indifferent projects close to the heart for all sections of society for over 5 years. She started her career withan NGO, APSA and as part of the UNICEF project, worked as a counselor for high school and polytechnicstudents, helping them build their personality, motivating them with study skills, and helping themovercome examination phobia. She has assisted students with learning disability with remedial classes,helping them clear the NIOS exams. She has also ventured into experiential training for differently-abledyoung adults with component assembly in PCB soldering and wire bunching for UPS constituents. Shevolunteered in rehabilitation for people across all age groups with substance abuse and related disorders.She is a certified professional in Demystifying Sexuality and Facilitator Training. This enables her inhelping teenagers and young adults understand sexuality in a broader sense. During this pandemic, she hasbeen actively involved in counselling women and teenagers in particular. She is also a member of theprestigious Lion's Club and tries to utilize her free time in various club activities. She considers her abilityto empathize and her tremendous patience, dedication, and honesty to be her greatest assets. She believesthat it's her passion and joy in working with teenagers that has brought her this far.8

She has contributed to government schools’ environmental projects through aCSR collaboration with a multinational firm.Panel Members:Dr. Vishal RaoRegional Director, Head Neck Surgical Oncology& Robotic Surgery; Associate Dean, HealthcareGlobal (HCG) Cancer Centre, Bangalore, IndiaDr. Vishal Rao completed his post-graduation in Otorhinolaryngology and fellowship in Head and NeckOncology Surgery and is presently the Regional Director of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and RoboticSurgery at HCG Cancer Centre, Bangalore.His area of expertise is Head & Neck Surgery and he takes a keen interest in cancer prevention andanti-tobacco programs. He is the inventor of “Aum Voice Prosthesis” a 1 speaking device for throat cancerpatients. His invention is a part of 100 global social innovations across the globe. With over 13 patents filedfor his innovation on medical devices, drugs, techniques and theories, he has received wide recognition fromBBC, Harvard Business Review and Forbes. As a recognition of his contributions, he has been conferred theHonorary FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. He has also received the Judy WilkenfeldAward for Global Excellence in Tobacco Control and has been a recipient of multiple state-level awardsincluding the Kempegowda Award. He also serves as Editor of the Journal of Precision Oncology and hasover 100 national and international publications to his credit. Dr. Vishal Rao is an International Advisor to theWorld Health Organization Tobacco Free initiatives and is a visiting faculty of John Hopkins UniversityLeadership Programs.9

Ms. Amudha RobertPractice Nurse/Advanced Nurse Practitioner,NHS Blackburn with Darwen CCG, Lancashire, UKMs. Amudha Robert is a certified Clinical Practitioner in the National Health Service (NHS) inLancashire, UK. She is a passionate professional with great compassion for the sick and disabled. She isthe core caregiver for the sick and needy. Ms. Amudha has contributed to consulting for acute diseaseslike diabetes and provides complementary care services for in-home care needs. She is a perfectionist inhealth care needs. Ms. Amudha has more than 20 years of experience in the clinical practitioner field. Asa Clinical Specialist, she has served the UK society during the COVID-19 pandemic to help control thespread of the virus and to take care of critically ill patients. She has been recognized for her patience andawarded for her best services in patients’ critical care.Dr. Camalyn WoodardAssistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine,Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia, USADr. Camalyn Woodard graduated with Honours from Grambling State University in 1983 with a B.S. inChemistry. She worked for Mead Johnson & Company in the Research & Development Department andlater received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989 from Louisiana State University (LSU) MedicalSchool. She found her passion in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) because of theholistic approach to treating the patient with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. She attendedOfficer Training School at Fort Sam Houston, provided medical care to inmates at Angola StatePenitentiary, and also trained for deployment to Kuwait during the Gulf War through the Louisiana ArmyNational Guard. She completed eight years of service and was honourably discharged with the rank ofMajor and received numerous awards for her service. Dr. Camalyn was previously employed by theSoutheast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System and received an award for Outstanding Service as ActingChief of the PM&R Department. She is also Board-Certified in PM&R and Spinal Cord Injury Medicineand also holds memberships in multiple medical organizations, including the Atlanta Medical Associationand the American Medical Association. Her philosophy is “education is power” and that is most importantwhen it pertains to people’s health.She believes in investing in her community through health educationallectures and volunteerism.10
