Director ofHuman ResourcesThe Position:Are you an experienced HR leader with a talent for strategic execution and operational excellence?Become Howard Center's new Director of Human Resources. This leader oversees the HR team (currently 12 staff members) and isresponsible for the development and execution of department strategies, objectives and metrics aligned with Howard Center'sstrategic intent. The HR Director oversees all aspects of Human Resources practice and process including compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention, training and development, employee and labor relations, policy development, and regulatory compliance. Present priorities include ensuring all of these functional areas are aligned with and supportive of the agency's ongoingstrategic integration of client service programs and the agency's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The HR Directorprovides strategic human resources advice and counsel to agency leadership and serves as liaison with external entities includeother agencies, organizations, committees, task forces, etc.Required Experience: 3 years in leadership position5 years HR experience in a similar role with similar degree of responsibilities for an organization of comparable size and complexityExperience with a variety of HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, resourceplanning, compensation, employee engagement, benefits, and learning/developmentA proven track record of effective decision makingEffective research and analytic skills with the ability to draw conclusions and provide solid recommendationsExperience engaging all levels of an organization in a collaborative and confident style that engenders credibilityExperience implementing strategic organizational changeDemonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionBachelors degree in related fieldPreferred Experience, Competencies and Education: Union/Labor RelationsHRIS softwareMaster's Degree in Human Resources Management or related fieldSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCPAbout Howard Center:Howard Center is a human service organization with a long and rich history as a trusted provider in the community.
