DEALER REMEDY INSTRUCTIONSNHTSA RECALL: NHTSA CANADA RECALL: 2017-446TURN OFF LP GAS AT THE LP TANKSIN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLEInspect for Damaged LP Line(s) - Look for signs of the following trauma to the LP lines(s); this damage may appear insuch a form as depicted in Figures 1 through Figure 8.1. Ensure to inspect the entire length of the LP line;2. If damage is present, such as but not limited to the below picture examples, replacement LP lines will need to beinstalled;3. Take photographs of the damaged LP line(s) PRIOR to removing from the vehicle;4. Locate the part number on the LP line by finding a tag on the line with the lines’ part number, this part number willbegin with the following: “HXXXXX-XXX”.5. You may find that the LP line from the front of the vehicle to the manifold and the LP line from the manifold to theBBQ grill connection are compromised. Ensure you provide each “HXXXXX-XX” part numbers to Forest River’sCustomer Service.6. Ensure the LP lines are supported every 32” with a rubber clamp, as shown in “Figure 3A”;7. In the unlikely event the rubber clamps are missing, please advise Forest River’s Customer Service ofapproximately how many will be needed to properly secure the LP line(s);8. Ensure the LP lines are supported with the rubber clamps no farther than 3” from a connection, again ifrequired please advise Forest River’s Customer Service of approximately how many will be needed to properlysecure the LP line(s);Figure 1Figure 2Continued;Page 1 of 3

DEALER REMEDY INSTRUCTIONSTURN OFF LP GAS AT THE LP TANKSIN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLEFollow the steps as outlines below in order to replace any hoses that may have been compromised, ruptured or in the wayof the suspension of axle. These instructions are for the front LP line to the manifold and the LP line from the manifold tothe B.B.Q. connection.1.2.3.4.5.6.7.Turn off the LP Gas Supply;Ignite the stove’s cook-top in order to “Burn Off” the remaining LP from the LP lines;Once the stove’s cook-top extinguishes, turn the cook-tops knob(s) to the OFF position;Disconnect the LP line from the front of the trailer;Remove the rubber clamps along the length of the LP line;Trace the LP line to the manifold (silver rectangular box) and disconnect from the manifold;Retrieve the LP line’s part number from the grey information tag.If required to service the LP line to the B.B.Q;1.2.3.4.5.6.7.Ensure LP Gas Supply is OFF;Ignite the stove’s cook-top in order to “Burn Off” the remaining LP from the LP lines;Once the stove’s cook-top extinguishes, turn the cook-tops knob(s) to the OFF position;Disconnect the LP line from the manifold;Remove the rubber clamps along the length of the LP line;Trace the LP line to the B.B.Q. connection and disconnect;Retrieve the LP line’s part number from the grey information tag.Installation and Testing of the new LP line(s) and rubber clamps from Forest River’s Customer Service;1. Install the new LP line(s) as received from Forest River, use the inner lip of the I-Beam bottom flange to securethe LP line(s) and rubber clamps to. This practice will move the LP line(s) inboard up to 2 ½”;2. If you need to cross the bottom of the trailer in a location where there is nothing to support the LP line rubberclamps contact Customer Service.3. Unscrew the LP Manifold (silver rectangular box) from the area close to the axle hanger and move the manifoldinboard of the I-Beam and secure it to the bottom flange, this is the same practice used for the LP line;4. Re-connect the LP line(s) to the front of the vehicle to the manifold, then re-connect the LP line from the manifoldto the B.B.Q. – BE SURE TO USE THE PROVIDED LP LINE SEALANT ON THE THREADS OF ALLCONNECTIONS YOU ARE RE-CONNECTING!5. Ensure all connections are tight.Testing the connections and priming the LP system;1. Using a manometer, measure the pressure of the LP system between 8” to 14” of water column, do not test over14” of water column as it potentially will damage the fuel burning devices;2. OR3. Begin by mixing dish-soap with warm water into a spray bottle, shake the contents well to mix the soapthoroughly;4. Spray the soapy water solution onto the connections in which you or the service person detached any LP line;5. Turn on the LP at the LP bottles;6. Inspect the fittings/connections for any bubbles;7. If there are bubbles present, shut off the LP immediately and tighten all connections again, then repeat Step 1through 6;Lighting and ensuring LP System functionality;1.2.3.4.With the LP line(s) fully sealed and tested successfully, turn the LP on at the source of the LP storage tanks;Attempt to light a cook-top burner;Once a cook-top burner is burning a blue flame while adjusting the dial; ignite the rest of the cook-top burners;Shut off the cook-top burners, then proceed to light all other fuel burning appliances to ensure proper flow of theLP in the newly installed line(s).Thank You for your Help!Page 3 of 3
