Our StoryImagine an intersection wherepublic health and public safetymeet.
How Do We Effect Change We had to understand there is a direct correlation between public safety and public health. We had to accept the way “we have always done things ” is not necessarily the best way. We had to be willing to change our mindset from being a referee to being a coach. We had to be willing to open our minds to a variety of treatment resources with the understanding thisis not always the most popular road to take. We had to be willing to partner with organizations that don’t think like us but have the same desiredoutcome. We had to be willing to be leaders in our field, to think far outside the box, and to push the envelope ofchange!
