IntroductionThis guidance is for exporters of used electric and electronicequipment (used EEE). The guidance gives you an overviewof countries with import restrictions on used EEE. An importrestriction means that you should not export used EEE to thiscountry. In some countries it is forbidden to import used EEE.In other countries the used EEE must fulfill various technicalcriteria in order to be legal to import.Please be aware that the list of countries in thisguidance is not necessarily complete and thatthe rules in the listed countries can change.Other countries may have import restrictionson used EEE. You should always check withthe receivers of your used EEE that it is legalto import to their country.The Danish authorities cannot stop an exportof used EEE to a country with import restrictions,but they can warn the authorities in the receivingcountry that a shipment that might be illegal toimport is on its way.guidance on exports of used EEE. These rules concernpackaging, test of functionality and documentationetc.Countries with import restrictions on used EEEhave these restrictions for a reason. They wantto stop illegal shipments of waste disguised asused EEE. Waste from electric and electronicequipment (WEEE) contains hazardous substancesthat can be harmful to humans and to theenvironment.
