3Recent Onsite Training DrillsFor those residents who may have seen the fire trucksand emergency vehicles the evening of July 30th, theMinoa Fire Department conducted their water rescuedrill at our beach. The drill went extremely well. Theseexercises will give the first responders a better idea onthe layout of our ponds, although we hope that theynever have to put this knowledge to use here.New to Erie Village? If you have recently moved to Erie Village, please makesure that you contact Time Warner security at 432-0373 toget your fire alarm system activated under your name. You will need to maintain a land line at all times to coverthis service. Also, if you are in the process of selling your unit, you stillneed to maintain a land line so that we are not receivingfalse readings.Because Erie Village is a multi unit attacheddevelopment, each unit is equipped with a fire monitoringsystem thru Time Warner. This is part of your monthlyHOA fees. This not only protects you in case of anemergency, but also your neighbors.Contractor VehiclesA number of concerns/complaints have been receivedregarding contractor’s vehicles parked in Erie Village. On some days it is very difficult for them to park as wemay have multiple workers in the village all at the sametime. There are not that many areas where they canpark and not block resident’s access as well as foremergency vehicles. Please be patient and know thatthey are making every attempt to minimize anyinconvenience to our residents whenever possible. Thelawn crew as well as the painting crews have agreed torotate parking areas when present in Erie Village.Erie Village Book Discussion GroupErie Village Reads! The Erie Village book group meets on the secondWednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
