NOTICE OFDIRECTORS ELECTIONTO THE ELECTORS OF DENTON COUNTY FRESH WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT NO.6 AND OTHER INTERESTED MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC:NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held by DENTON COUNTY FRESHWATER SUPPLY DISTRICT NO. 6, on May 7, 2022, in accordance with the Order attachedto this Notice as Exhibit “A”.The election shall be held at the times and locations designated by Denton County asdisclosed in the Exhibit “B” attached to this Notice.THIS NOTICE MUST REMAIN CONTINUOUSLY POSTED THROUGH MAY 7, 2022.

ORDER CALLING DIRECTORS ELECTIONBE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF DENTON COUNTY FRESHWATER SUPPLY DISTRICT NO. 6, THAT:Section 1: An election shall be held for the District between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and7:00 p.m., on the 7th day of May, 2022, at a place to be determined by the Denton County ElectionsAdministrator, Denton, Texas, which the Board of Directors of the District, after duly consideringthe requirements of the Texas Election Code, hereby finds to be a proper place for conducting saidelection. At said election there shall be submitted to the duly qualified resident electors of theDistrict the matter of electing two (2) Directors.Section 2: The District hereby designates the applicable county election precincts aselection precincts for purposes of this election. Kelli Dabbs is hereby appointed as the District'sdesignated Election Agent to perform election duties required pursuant to the provisions of Section31.123, Texas Election Code, as amended. The duration of appointment of such Election Agentshall be from January 18, 2022, until a successor Election Agent is appointed in connection withthe calling of a subsequent election by the District, and the office hours of such Election Agentshall be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays, official State holidays. Trueand correct copies of all documents and materials pertaining to the election shall be maintained onfile in the office of the District's designated Election Agent at 3100 McKinnon Street, Suite 1100,Dallas, Texas 75201, (214) 981-9090, and 19 Briar Hollow Lane, Suite 245, Houston, Texas77027, (713) 621-3707, open to inspection by the public or any person interested therein.Section 3: Voting in said election shall be by the use of paper ballots that shall be printedin both English and Spanish, as well as by an accessible electronic voting system in compliancewith State and federal law.Section 4: Written application to have a person's name printed on the ballot as a candidatefor the office of director of the District must be received by the Secretary of the Board of Directorsof the District or the District’s agent not before January 19, 2022 and not later than 5:00 p.m. onFebruary 18, 2022, and declarations of write-in candidacy (except as otherwise provided by law),must be received by the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the District or the District's Agentnot later than 5:00 p.m. on February 22, 2022. No person's name shall be placed on the ballotunless he or she meets all legal qualifications for the holding of the office of director and is nototherwise disqualified from holding such office. The Secretary of the Board or the District's Agentis authorized to determine the qualifications of candidates for office. Any person not satisfied withsaid officer's ruling shall be authorized to appeal the decision to the Board of Directors.Instructions regarding the obtaining of blank applications and other required application-relateddocuments may be obtained from the District's election agent.Section 5: When the number of candidates exceeds the number of offices to be filled, theorder in which the names of the candidates are to be printed on the ballot shall be determined by adrawing to be conducted by the Secretary of the Board of Directors or the District's Election Agent,who shall post notice in the District's office, at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduledtime of the drawing, of the date, hour and place of the drawing, and shall also mail notice of thedate, hour and place of the drawing to each candidate, at the address stated on the candidate's

application for a place on the ballot, not later than the fourth (4th) day before the day of thedrawing. Each candidate involved in the drawing, or his or her designated representative, shallhave the right to be present and to observe the drawing.Section 6: Pursuant to a Joint Election Agreement and Contract For Election Services withthe Denton County Elections Administrator, Denton County shall be responsible for theappointment of the Presiding Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge.Said officers are appointed to serve in the herein-ordered election only.The Presiding Judge shall appoint qualified individuals to serve as election clerks to assistin the conduct of the election, with the number of such election clerks to be determined by thePresiding Judge in accordance with the requirements of applicable law. In an election conductedby the regularly appointed Presiding Judge, the Presiding Judge shall appoint the AlternatePresiding Judge as one of the clerks. The Presiding Judge may appoint as many additional clerks,within the prescribed limit, as necessary for the proper conduct of the election.There is hereby created an Early Ballot Board. The Presiding Judge of the election shallserve as the presiding officer of the Early Ballot Board. The Presiding Judge shall appoint two ormore additional members to constitute the Early Ballot Board.Denton County Elections Administrator is hereby appointed early voting clerk for saidelection. Early voting by personal appearance shall be conducted at the locations listed on Exhibit"A" attached hereto, provided by Denton County Elections Administrator, which may be outsidethe boundaries of the District. The official mailing address of the Denton County ElectionsAdministrator is P.O. Box 1720, Denton, Texas 76202. Said clerk shall keep said places open forearly voting by personal appearance at least on each day which is not a Saturday, a Sunday, or alegal state holiday, beginning on the 17th day preceding the date of such election, unless such dayis a Saturday, Sunday, or legal state holiday in which case the period begins on the next regularbusiness day, and continuing through the 4th day preceding the date of such election. The daysand hours for early voting by personal appearance at each of the early voting locations are listedon the attached Exhibit "A".Applications for ballots to be voted by mail and completed ballots to be voted by mail maybe sent to the official mailing address of the early voting clerk as set forth above. Applications forballots to be voted by mail may be electronically transmitted to the early voting clerk atelections@dentoncounty.com (to be followed by application by mail in accordance with Section84.007, Texas Election Code). The agent shall receive any document relating to the election thatthe Board of Directors is authorized or required to receive and shall make available for inspectionand copying, in accordance with the applicable regulations, the documents, records, and otherpapers that are required to be maintained in the agent’s office and may perform any otherministerial duties in connection with the election that may lawfully be performed by an employeeof the District. The election agent may receive any such document at either office address above.Section 7: The Secretary of the Board of Directors is hereby directed to cause notice ofthe election in English and Spanish to be posted on the bulletin board used for posting notices ofDistrict meetings, with said postings to be not later than the twenty-first (21st) day before the dateof the election (unless said day is a Saturday, Sunday or official state holiday, in which case it shallbe posted on the next regular business day), all in accordance with applicable law.Section 8: The election shall be held and conducted returns made to this Board of Directorsin accordance with the Texas Election Code, as modified by Chapter 49, Texas Water Code.Section 9: The rate of pay for judges, clerks, absentee clerks, and ballot board membersshall be determined by the Denton County Elections Administrator in compliance with the TexasElection Code.Section 10: All qualified resident electors of the District shall be entitled to vote in theelection.Section 11: Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit the Board of Directors fromcanceling the election called hereunder if and as allowed in accordance with the provisions of theTexas Election Code, as amended.Section 12: The President or Vice President and Secretary or Assistant Secretary of theBoard of Directors and the District’s Election Agent for such election are hereby authorized anddirected to take any action necessary to carry out the provisions of this Order. ORDEN CONVOCATORIA DE UNA ELECCIÓN DE DIRECTORESLA JUNTA DIRECTIVA DE DIRECTORES DEL DISTRITO DE SUMINISTRO DE AGUAPOTABLE No. 6 DEL CONDADO DE DENTON EXPIDE LA SIGUIENTE ORDEN:Sección 1: Se realizará una elección para el Distrito entre las 7:00 a.m. y las 7:00 p.m., el7 de mayo del año 2022, en un lugar que determinará el Administrador Electoral del Condado deDenton, Denton, Texas, que La Junta Directiva de Directores del Distrito, después de considerardebidamente los requisitos del Código Electoral de Texas, por la presente encuentra que es unlugar apropiado para llevar a cabo dicha elección. En dicha elección se presentará a los electoresresidentes del Distrito debidamente calificados el asunto de elegir dos (2) Directores.Sección 2: Por la presente, el Distrito designa los precintos electorales del condadoaplicables como precintos electorales para los propósitos de esta elección. Se designa a Kelli Dabbscomo Agente Electoral designada por el Distrito para realizar las tareas electorales requeridas deconformidad con las disposiciones de la Sección 31.123, Código Electoral de Texas, en su formaenmendada. La duración de la designación de dicha Agente Electoral será desde el 18 de enero delaño 2022, hasta que se designe un Agente Electoral sucesor en relación con la convocatoria de unaelección posterior por parte del Distrito y el horario de oficina de dicho Agente Electoral será apartir de las 9:00 a.m. hasta las 5:00 p.m. diariamente, excepto los sábados, domingos o díasferiados oficiales del estado. Lasinstrucciones relativas a la obtención de solicitudes en blanco y otros documentos necesarios parala solicitud pueden obtenerse del Agente Electoral del Distrito.Sección 5: Cuando el número de candidatos supere el número de cargos a cubrir, el ordenen que los nombres de los candidatos deban imprimirse en la boleta se determinará mediante un

sorteo que lo llevará a cabo el Secretario de la Junta Directiva de Directores o el Agente Electoraldel Distrito, quien publicará un aviso en la oficina del Distrito, por lo menos setenta y dos (72)horas antes de la fecha programada para el sorteo, de la hora y el lugar del mismo, y también leenviará por correo la fecha, la hora y el lugar del sorteo a cada candidato, a la dirección indicadaen la solicitud del candidato para obtener un lugar en la boleta, a más tardar el cuarto (4º) día antesdel día del sorteo. Cada candidato que participe en el sorteo, o su representante designado(a),tendrá derecho a estar presente y observar el sorteo.Sección 6: De conformidad con un Acuerdo Electoral Conjunto y un Contrato de ServiciosElectorales con el Administrador Electoral del Condado de Denton, el Condado de Denton seráresponsable por la designación del Juez Presidente y del Juez Presidente Alterno.Dichos funcionarios son designados para servir únicamente en la elección objeto de lapresente orden.El Juez Presidente designará a personas calificadas para servir como secretarios electoralesy para ayudar en la realización de las elecciones, cuyo número será determinado por el JuezPresidente de acuerdo con los requisitos de la ley aplicable. En una elección llevada a cabo por elJuez Presidente designado periódicamente, el Juez Presidente designará al Juez Presidente Alternocomo uno de los secretarios. El Juez Presidente puede designar tantos secretarios adicionales,dentro del límite prescrito, como sea necesario para el buen desarrollo de la elección.Por medio de la presente se crea una Junta Directiva de Boletas de Votación Anticipada.El Juez Presidente de las elecciones deberá servir como el funcionario que presida la JuntaDirectiva de Boletas de Votación Anticipada. El Juez Presidente designará a dos o más miembrosadicionales para constituir la Junta Directiva de Boletas de Votación Anticipada.Se designará al Administrador Electoral del Condado de Denton como secretario devotación anticipada para dicha elección. La votación anticipada por comparecencia personal sellevará a cabo en los lugares enumerados en el Anexo “A” adjunto al presente, proporcionado porel Administrador Electoral del Condado de Denton, que puede estar fuera de los límites delDistrito.
