WPI FRC New England DistrictChampionship Scholarship 2016&SolidWorks/WPI Scholarship 2016In 2016, WPI and SolidWorks will offer scholarships to seniors on teams participating in any of the NewEngland FRC District Events. To be eligible, students must be in their senior year of high school, beactive on a FRC team competing at a 2016 NE FIRST District Event, have applied to WPI, and benominated by an adult leader on their team.Each team may nominate one student for the WPI FRC New England District Championship Scholarshipand one student for the SolidWorks/WPI Scholarship. This may be the same student or two differentstudents. Those students nominated must be capable of meeting the admission standards of WPI andmust already have applied for admission to WPI.Scholarship InformationWPI FRC New England District ChampionshipFirst Place (1): 20,000 per year for up to four years (maximum 80,000) to attend WPIRunner-Up (2): 5,000 per year for up to four years (maximum 20,000) to attend WPISolidWorks/WPI ScholarshipFirst Place (1): 5,000, one-time scholarship to attend WPISubmission InformationCriteria Candidates must apply for admission through the standard WPI admission process By 28 March 2016, candidates must submit the following material:o Nomination form - completed and signed by an adult team leader who is working withthe FRC team on which the candidate participates, accompanied by a Letter ofNomination.o Letter of Nomination - from the adult team leader who is nominating this studentdescribing his/her demonstrated enthusiasm for engineering and science and offeringexamples of leadership, demonstrated ability and innovation necessary to excel at WPIand their future career.o Short Answer Form - completed by the candidate, directly addressing each questionasked in the format requested.
