Ringling College Continuing Studies Online 2020SUMMER TERM: JUNE 1-JULY 24NEW SUMMER ONLINE COURSES STUDIO ART IMMERSIONS

SUMMER PROGRAM MOVES ONLINEIt seems all of us are learning something new during this pandemic. As a lifelong learner, I hope you have learned lessons that are helping you cope during thesestressful times as well as reveal new ways of doing things during this worldwide crisis. As we continue to work remotely, most of our efforts have been focused on how we canprovide you with an exceptional online educational experience. Beginning June 1,all Continuing Studies (OLLI and Studio Digital Arts) programs will be offered onlineusing Zoom a live video conference platform.A team comprised of Rhonda Stapleton and volunteers, Louise Gallagher andJudy Rosemarin (a.k.a. the Zoom Team) developed information guides for instructors, training assistants, and students — all in a couple of weeks. Amazing!Rhonda also recruited volunteer classroom assistants who will be available during eachclass session and will handle the technical aspects of Zoom allowing instructors toconcentrate on teaching.Diane Zorn (S DA Education Program Coordinator), Danielle La Senna, and I also workedwith instructors to help them transition their materials to an online format. As a result of these efforts, and the generous and open spirit of our instructors,we are moving forward with the Summer term.By offering online services, we are creating opportunities for those members: who live faraway, who had planned to travel this summer, and who planned to be in the halls with us.We can’t wait to see you all online.Take care, and be safe.Respectfully,Janna Overstreet, DirectorOLLI at Ringling CollegeP.S. Gold Member registration opens Tuesday, May 5and Silver Member registration on Tuesday, May 12.
