WELCOMEWe are thrilled to introduce you to The Bristol Old Vic TheatreSchool’s 2020 and 2021 MFA Acting Graduates.The performers in this showcase are all eligible to work in the UK,and currently seeking representation. This Showcase is an extremelyimportant part of the career launch of our graduates, and it is anevent we look forward to every year. Thank you so very much formaking time to watch them all.For over 70 years Bristol Old Vic Theatre School has been producingactors of the highest calibre – including many household namessuch as Sir Daniel Day Lewis, Naomie Harris, Sir Patrick Stewart,Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith in Downton Abbey), the late, greatGene Wilder and countless others. Series 4 of Netflix’s The Crown hasBristol alumni as Princess Anne (Erin Doherty), Prince Charles (JoshO’Connor) and the Queen (Oscar-winner Olivia Colman). We hopethat this year’s graduating actors may have equally illustrious careers.Class sizes are very small; typically, each course will only have 1014 students and each student will have an intensive experience inwhich their individuality can flourish. As well as the extensive theatretraining, students receive rigorous training in film and television, andspecialist training in areas such as combat, audio, motion captureand voice acting technique.Our goal is that graduates emerge from the program confidentin their individuality, and fully prepared for the wide range ofopportunities that await them in the profession. Students come fromall over the North America and the world to be part of our program,and it is important that they are well prepared for returning to theircareers.
