The school mascot is the lion.Statement of Accreditation & CertificationDenton Calvary Academy (DCA) is accredited by the Southern Association ofColleges and Schools through AdvancED. DCA is certified as a University-Model School and is amember of University-Model Schools International (UMSI).Board Of DirectorsDCA is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The school is directed by a Board ofDirectors comprised of no less than three (3) individuals. Meetings of the Board of Directorsare held at least monthly. Anyone desiring to communicate a concern or possiblechange in policy to the Board of Directors should contact the Head of School.Policy and ProceduresThe Administration and/or Board of Directors may, at any time and for any reason, make changes tothe policies and procedures outlined in this handbook. If the policy change is substantive, administrationwill give a two-week notice to all families and staff before any change(s) will take place.1.
