Leave school grounds or school-sponsored events without permission. Disobey rules for conduct in district vehicles. Refuse to accept discipline management techniques assigned by a teacher or principal.Updated safety protocols below for drop off and pick up: Students will have the option to wear a personal face mask upon entering the building. If a student arriveswithout a mask and would like one, a disposable face mask can be provided to them to wear. Drop off time will begin at 7:30am Any scholar not picked up by 4:00 pm will be escorted to the gym for tutoring. Parents will need to pickup their scholars at the gym entrance.UNIFORM POLICY:A uniform is required at Colonel John O. Ensor Middle School. The faculty, staff and administration atColonel John O. Ensor Middle School work to provide student with a quality education in a safe andorderly environment. A uniform is established not only as a safety measure to identify Ensor students, butto also teach grooming, hygiene, and discipline. (If polo has a chest emblem, it cannot be larger thanthe size of a half dollar coin.) Polo shirts must be tucked into uniform bottoms. Official Ensor Middle School spirit or grade-level shirts may be worn any day of the week as part of theschool uniform along with uniform pants. Spirit shirts must be tucked in.UNIFORM BOTTOMS: Navy blue or khaki pants, skorts, shorts or crop/capri pants must be worn at the waistline. OUTERWEAR: Outerwear includes, but not limited to, sweatshirts, sweaters, hoodies, wind-breakers, fleecegarments. During cold weather, outerwear must be unzipped, unbuttoned, or removed upon entering the building andthroughout the instructional day. Only an Ensor Eagle Hoodie may be worn throughout the instructional day. The hood may NOT be wornat any time in the building. Only an Ensor Eagle Beanie may be worn throughout the instructional day. Official Ensor Middle School hoodies do not need to be removed inside the building. Hoodies not affiliated with Ensor Middle School are not allowed on campus; however, Non-Ensor jacketswith full-length zippers and/or sweaters with full-length buttons are allowed. These outerwear items mustbe unzipped and unbuttoned throughout the instructional day.JEANS: Jean days will be determined by administration. On Jean Days, jeans may be blue or black only and must not have holes or rips. Jean shorts will be allowed as long as shorts are fingertip length and not excessively baggy. Jean capri pants will be allowed. Leggings worn underneath jeans, torn or otherwise, are not allowed.PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM: Students must wear a gray t-shirt and black shorts. Black sweats with P.E. shirt may be worn for thewinter season. No yoga pants or leggings can be worn without shorts. Lockers for PE will be discussed by our PE Coaches during class.BACK PACKS:Back packs must be of normal size. After 3 tardies the scholar will have aconsequence, which may include lunch detention in SAC the whole lunch period. If a scholar has 5 or more tardies to any one period, the educator WILL write a referral.CONSEQUENCES of DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS: If a student is found to be out of dress code, the student will be given the opportunity to call a parent tobring them a change of clothes. If a student is unable to change or reach a parent to bring them something, then he or she will be sent toSAC (Special Assignment Class) for the remainder of the school day. An option for a change of clothes, if available, will be offered through our CIS Coordinator, Mrs. Campos.Confiscated Items Policy: It is the responsibility of the student/parent to collect confiscated items by the end of the nine weeks.Confiscated items will be held by the administrator who confiscated the item. Escribirse en las manos, brazos, etc. Color de cabello artificial (azul, verde, rosa, etc.) y / o estilos (es decir, extensiones, mohawks,espigas, diseños afeitados de cualquier tipo).
