A FREEversion of DirectSOFT gives you all thegreat features of the full version, but with a100-word PLC program download limitation. For programs larger than 100 words,the full package is required. The FREEPC-DS100 software may be sufficient toprogram the DL05 and DL06. If you areprogramming with a full package versionprior to v6.0, you will need v2.4 or laterfor the DL05 PLCs and v4.0 or later for theDL06. The first three DCinputs on the DL05 PLCs are set up by defaultas filtered inputs with a 10 ms filter. Likewise,the first four DC inputs on the DL06 PLCs areset to the same default value. By entering asetup code in a special V-memory location,you can choose other features. In somemodes of operation, you have a choice as tohow you use each point. For example, if youuse X0 as an up counter, you can use X2 asa reset input for the counter or as a filtereddiscrete input. Youcan use these ports for programming,networking, or connecting an operatorinterface device. The RS-232 portssupport point-to-point communicationsusing the optional D0-CBL cable. If youneed to create a multi-drop network orrequire longer distances between devices,you can use the FA-ISOCON at eachDL05 to convert the RS-232 signal toRS-422 or RS-485.Optional Ethernetcommunication modulesNeed to connect to a high speed HMI orcomputer system?
