Contact Jean or Jane for moreinformation or to help, 920-337-2330.Bringing Home the Gospel for July 3rdIt is made clear in this weekend’s Gospel story, Luke 10:1-12,17-20, that Jesus understood the difficulties his apostles anddisciples would encounter, so he sent them out in pairs. EvenJesus needed a community to walk with. This is whybelonging to a church is so important; we need acommunity to nurture and support our family and us. TheChurch serves as a model for us, sometimes even offering analternate lifestyle to that of the culture in which we live. Notperfect; every church community will have its characters, misfits, and sinners. We are not expected to like every member, but if we try to get involved in church activities, we oftenmeet people who can become a surrogate family and lifelongfriends.Family Response: Ask family members what they like bestabout their parish. Who are some of their favorite people?Personal Response: Is the parish community an essentialpart of your life? If not, why? How can you become moreinvolved? If you are involved, what are the fruits of yourinvolvement?Parish Donut Socials Next WeekendBakery, beverages and camaradarie next weekend at St. Maryafter all Masses on Saturday, July 9th and Sunday, July 10th.The St. Francis Xavier social will follow the 9:00am and 11:00amMass on Sunday, July 10th.
