Thereare visitors in the churches every summer, andfamiliar faces are among the missing. Some findthe summer's call more appealing than thesummons of the church bells. Many, however, would not dream of missing a Sunday, and sothey make their way to Mass in unfamiliarplaces, watching the locals for clues as to whento sit or stand, where the Communion stationsare. In answering the call, they keep thesabbatical rhythm of the Christian life: everyseventh day, the Body of Christ assembles forworship.PLEASE PRAY for all our sick parishioners, relatives, friendsand their caregivers, and all those listed inOur Lady's Prayer Chain.Baby Luke Farrell - Baby Emma Grace - Heather FrisoliRosemary Fitzgerald - Nancy Cantrell & FriendsGaime Hailemichael - Terry Kistler - Joseph GherhartGeorge SawyerPLEASE PRAY for our troops.4:30 pm Sat. 7/13 – ǁ Music: Scott Cryder w/ MarkNorman ǁ Altar Servers: Alexa Haidacher, MatthewMcSweeney, Jessica St. John ǁ ExtraordinaryMinisters: Philip McKenna, Marielle Moss, Johnny &Lisa Robb ǁ Lectors: Marigrace Lynch, Ethan Smith8am Sun. 7/14 – ǁ Music: Melanie Hazelrigg w/ Erin Arnoldi ǁAltar Servers: Cara & David Arnoldi, Derek Hartranft ǁExtraordinary Ministers: Julie Formica, Sam Herb, DesireeSchaefer, Bill Wasylenko ǁ Lectors: Art D’Angelo, Justin Hartranft10am Sun. 7/14 – ǁ Music: Children’s Choir ǁ Altar Servers: Kira& Luke Kawczynski, Lila Murphy ǁ Extraordinary Ministers: DonnaHarle, Jennifer Huber, Kelly Kawczynski ǁ Lectors: MarigraceLynch, Steven Murphy12pm Sun. 7/14 – ǁ Music: Michael Meade ǁ Altar Servers:Dylan & Jacob Cappiello ǁ Extraordinary Ministers: Ross Ajemian,Maryane McBrearty, Tammy Wengyn, David Zuzack ǁ Lectors:Andrew Guippone, Pina RahillLearn moreat St. JudeElements of the Catholic Mass is designedto help the faithful better appreciate the beautyof the Mass. Pastor’s Column June 30, 2019My friends in Christ:C ATHOLIC H EART W ORK C AMPOnce again this year, it has been such a joy to the see the overwhelmingly generousresponse of our young parishioners (and their selfless chaperons) to the call for service throughthe Catholic Heart Work Camp program. Catholic Heart Work Camp is a youth summerprogram based on service, connections and loving others. It provides youth the opportunity to“love the least of these” by restoring homes, feeding the hungry, lifting the spirits of poorchildren, and bringing joy to the elderly and disabled. Mass, faith-sharing, witness talks andConfession are available each day.Fifty one teens (grades 9-12) and ten adult chaperones participated in Camp Heart WorkCamp at Dover, Delaware from June 23rd through June 28th. Father Dave, Deacon Tim and Iwere thrilled to be able to celebrate a sending rite for this wonderfully selfless team. I want totake this opportunity to thank the parents who sacrificed their vacation time, who accompaniedand worked alongside our young parishioners. A special thank you to Rich Ferns who served asleader and Kathleen Jack who served as the coordinator for this year's trip. The other adultsincluded: Karen Pye, Martha Danchak, Kristi Hauser, Mike McGee, Jim Hansell,Phil McKenna, Julie Whelan, Tom Fountain, and Sarah Murgia. If you know any of our 51 teenagers who participated in Camp Heart this year, pleasethank them for showing to the world, the best of St. Jude Youth! Thank you once again forsupporting Catholic Heart Work Camp this year.God bless!Monsignor Francis W. Beach, Pastor

It is a website through which peoples' prayerrequests are shared with Catholic religious communitiesand organizations around the world. Within 24 hours ofsubmitting the request, the petitioner receives an emailwith links to all of those communities that havemembers praying for them. The website is an excellent tool for evangelization. Ifsomeone is aware of a person in need of prayer, they cansubmit a prayer request on behalf of that person and canforward the email response, reminding them that theLord is with them and has given them a loving Churchwith countless Religious communities and organizationsselflessly doing God's work. The individual can clickon the links provided in the email to know more aboutthose communities. If people are not coming to Church, we must bring theChurch to them. Prayers Unite the World is designed todo just that. Visit thewebsiteprayersunitetheworld.org to learn more andsubmit your prayer requests!
