HOTEL INFORMATIONReservationsReservations must be made by the cut-off date, March 21, 2014. Afterwards, reservations will be taken on aspace and rate availability basis. Any reservations not guaranteed by the hotel will not be held beyond 6:00 p.m. onthe arrival date. Room cancellations need to be made 72 hours in advance to avoid one night’s room charge. Checkin time for the hotel is 3 p.m. and check-out time is 12 p.m.ParkingThe Double Tree by Hilton offers complimentary indoor and outdoor self-parking, with in and out priveleges.Valet parking is available for 8 per day.Credit CardsThe Double Tree by Hilton, Oak Brook accepts all major credit cards, including: American Express, CarteBlanche/Diners Club, Discover, Japan Credit Bureau, MasterCard and Visa.Banners and SignsAll banners and signs must be professionally printed or computer-generated per hotel policy. No hand-letteredsigns or banners are allowed in the public areas of the hotel (this includes hotel room doors). There will be bulletinboards in front of the elevators on each floor where you can place your business card or flyer (no larger than 5½ x 8½)with your room number.Guest RoomsThe Double Tree by Hilton offers luxurious guestrooms, including suites. Standard service includes highspeed and wireless internet access, a 27 inch TV with premium HD channels, business center access, a telephone withvoicemail, individual climate control, electronic door lock, full bath amenities, and iron and ironing board, alarmclock, hair dryer, coffee maker and a daily newspaper.Hotel CourtesyNot all Hot Wheels collectors and their families keep late hours. Some collectors’ rooms may also be locatednear non-Nationals guests. If you are in the halls late at night or early in the morning, please be courteous and keepthe noise level down. Trading, etc. is not to be conducted in the hallways, and not allowed in any public area of thehotel. To be considerate, after 11 p.m., please do not keep your room door wide open. We suggest propping it if youdon’t want to close it all the way or using doorknob hangers. This lets people know you are “open” yet keeps thenoise filtering into the hall to a minimum. It is in everyone’s best interest to be good neighbors.Shuttle ServiceThere is no complimentary Hotel Shuttle Service available. When arriving at O’Hare or Midway airports, be sureto select a “suburban” taxi service. Suburban services generally charge a flat fare to Oak Brook hotels. Chicago “city”taxis may not pick up return fares in the suburbs and are permitted to charge the metered fare plus one half, whichmay be costly. To avoid the additional charge, select a suburban taxi. This year’s souvenir sales cars are:Volkswagen T1 Drag Bus - #1 of the 4-car Nationals Series. Phil Riehlman originally designed this version ofthe Volkswagen T1 Drag Bus in 2010. This events version is in pearl orange and pearl white with light gray on thetop, gray interior with a clear windshield. Real Rider XXL chrome mags on the back, with Real Rider chrome magson the front. Steve Vandervate created this special deco and the 14th Nationals logo.This car is limited to a run of no more than 2,400 pieces. Price: 25.00 ( sales tax)Ghostbusters Ecto-1 - #2 of the 4-car Nationals Series: The GHOSTBUSTERS ECTO-1 was created for theeighties blockbuster film “Ghostbusters” and Manson Cheung designed the Hot Wheels version in 2010. Thisevents version is Zamac with green slime covering the car, white wall RR tires, the Ghostbusters logo on the side andback door, with the Nationals logo on the hood. The deco for this year’s Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and the 14th Nationalslogo was created by Steve Vandervate.This car is limited to a run of no more than 2, 600 pieces. Price: 25.00 ( sales tax)’70 Dodge HEMI Challenger - #3 of the 4-car Nationals Series: Phil Riehlman designed the ‘70 DodgeHemi Challenger in 2006. This events version is in the ongoing Race Team colors, red top with blue on the hoodand deck with white on the lower half of the body, Hot Wheels swoosh on the sides with lots of authentic racingstickers. Steve Vandervate created this special deco and the 14th Nationals logo.This car is limited to a run of no more than 2,000 pieces. Price: 25.00 ( sales tax)Our souvenir T was designed by Larry Wood and printed by Classic Graphix with a front and back design thatwill be a true commemorative of the week. Description: white background, design includes official Nationals logoand souvenir cars. Licensed by Mattel. Price: 20.00 ( sales tax)Our souvenir pin was once again produced by the PICA Marketing there are 300 for this year’s event. This 11/4” pin with Nationals logo will be sold on a first-come basis. This yearwe are proud to introduce a special edition Children’s Miracle Network Hospital Highway Hauler, with the Children’sMiracle Network logo and the Nationals logo. It’s also sporting chrome deep-dish Real Riders. This car was designedand produced by Nightstalker – Chris Walker. The Nationals logo was designed by Steve Vandervate.No more than 500 were made and they will be available first come first served, limited to one per person, at theNationals Charity table.
