1 - SAFETY & WARNINGSIntroductionReceiving InspectionPrior to shipment, the following inspections andtests are made to ensure the highest standards ofmanufacturing for our customers:The customer should examine the equipment for anydamage. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensureall parts supplied with the equipment are fitted in acorrect and safe manner. Material inspections Manufacturing process inspections American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)welding inspection ASME hydrostatic test inspection Electrical components inspection Operating test Final engineering inspection Crating inspectionThis manual is provided as a guide to the correctoperation and maintenance of your Fulton equipment,and should be read in its entirety and be madepermanently available to the staff responsible for theoperation of the boiler. It should not, however, beconsidered as a complete code of practice, nor shouldit replace existing codes or standards which may beapplicable. Fulton reserves the right to change any partof this installation, operation and maintenance manual.Installation, start-up, and maintenance of thisequipment can be hazardous and requires trained,qualified installers and service personnel. Trainedpersonnel are responsible for the installation,operation, and maintenance of this product, andfor the safety assurance of installation, operation,and maintenance processes. Do not install, operate,service or repair any component of this equipmentunless you are qualified and fully understand allrequirements and procedures. It is critical that all personnel read andadhere to all information contained in WARNINGS andCAUTIONS throughout this manual. In addition, thereare bolded Notes throughout the manual, which areincluded as additional information for essential andeffective operation and conditions. WARNINGS must be observed to prevent seriousinjury or death to personnel. CAUTIONS must be observed to prevent damageor destruction of equipment or loss of operatingeffectiveness.!! WARNINGDo not operate, or allow others to operate, serviceor repair this equipment unless you (they) fullyunderstand all applicable sections of this manual andare qualified to operate/maintain the equipment.This boiler is equipped with an ignition device, whichautomatically lights the burner. Do not try to light theburner by hand.Prior to the commencement of any work requiring theremoval of cover plates and the opening of the controlpanel box, the electrical supply to the boiler must bedisconnected.Assure all electrical connections are powered downprior to attempting replacement or service of electricalcomponents or connections of the equipment.
